Santa Fe Park Picnic Pavilion

Nice Park, good for family gatherings and big lawn games. BBQ grills@ the two pavilions aren't Too trashed out yet. Unfortunately the transients in the area often gather/hang out, so I don't take the family there in the evening hours. Definitely don't use the Nature Trail anytime after 5 or Alone. Take a friend or good dog. Overall though, a nice place to spend an afternoon with the kids or girlfriend.

It have amazing walking trails and the family fun area is amazing softball eating places and sk8 parks

LOVE this park. Although it needs maintenance like a lot of things in my small hometown. Independence, Mo. Grew up in this park petitioned to get playgrounds and pavilions at this park. We got it able to be voted on , on the ballot, then to planning, building, etc. That was when USA was a true democracy. In the 80's. Thanks for Your Time. I got to hang out with a friend and talk too.

LOVE this park!! Big enough for any amount of people and never have to worry about parking. Room for riding dirt bikes if you’re careful, there are trails behind pedestrian walking areas. There’s a couple swings for babies too! I could spend all day here. We didn’t notice an abundance of bees or anything and there was a lot of shaded areas and a bathroom.

There is someone who drives a truck that's pulling a enclosed trailer who was at this park may 1st with several dogs. When I first arrived I saw a man walking several dogs and was parked next to the skate park. I was having my sons 7th bday party there and even paid for an ice cream truck for the party. There were many kids and 2 dogs with us. Once the ice cream truck arrived they parked next to the truck and trailer that was parked next to the skate park. As all the kids and adults as well as the 2 dogs are the ice cream truck. The man with the truck and trailer had one of his dogs outside the vehicle who attacked one of the dogs we had pretty badly. The man did almost nothing to get his dog to let go of the other dogs face. He even laughed at the situation even though many kids were crying and upset from what they witnessed. The owner of the dog at my party had to be taken to an emergency vet for her injuries, which cost $500. The owner tried to file a complaint and was told the man with the truck and trailer would not have been ticketed nor made to help with the bill from the vet.

Love this place. Our large family comes here every year to celebrate each other and it has a lot of options. Old folks can just sit and chill under the pavilion, and right next to it is a handy children's playground, bathroom, and tennis courts, as well as a nice little paved walk. A few hundred steps away is a baseball diamond and a dirt trail you can walk. Love it, and glad it's available every year!

Cute little park with benches scattered throughout and a nicely paved walking trail. There is a shelter with a few tables that makes for a great Picnic area. The playground is small but is in good condition and has a few benches right in front of it for parents to sit and watch their kids. Definitely dog friendly as there were dogs off leash outside of the dog park. Would definitely come back!

Great park to sit and relax with your Bible and thoughts

Very great park, big ...has to play areas for children... And they have a dog park area it has a chain-link fence and you can bring your doggie... And go in that area with everybody else's dog he's running around 🤸🏻🤗

Clean park, quaint and small, has a dog play area fenced in. Tennis courts, play area for the kids as well as a couple baseball diamonds a couple shelter houses and a great little nature walking trail. It's a quaint little hidden gem. Come on what are you waiting for? You are going to love this park!! 💓😃💯

Fun little playground, a few sportsball diamonds, and a skate park that needs some serious love. Good hills. Acorns are saddly small...

Great park. Play tennis with my daughter here. 2 separate play area's a nice little area to just sit and enjoy the day. 2 baseball diamonds and a hiking trail. I haven't been on it so not sure of the condition but the wooded area is fun to run around in with my son.

I remember the first time I discovered this place, it was on accident when I took a wrong turn. LOL If you blink, you'd miss it because it's somewhat hidden within the windy roads of the neighborhood, but once you find it, you'd be surprised at how big it is. Wonderful place to hang out and play. There is a dog park (which my dog's love) baseball fields, tennis courts, small skate park, walking trail, LOTS of parking space, two separate playground areas, sheltered eating area, and bathrooms (which are locked 90% of the time) but overall a really nice park. Very spacious! Probably my family's second favorite park next to the waterfall park next to Bass Pro.

This park has 3 serperate play gyms tennis courts and beautiful walking trails. Highly recommend for a family fun park day. Bring tennis rackets for a added activity oh and they have 2 different baseball fields.
