EDIT: It has now been nearly two months and no judgment has been handed down. Not even any correspondence about this case with the attorneys for each party. Is this the way Missouri judges do business?

ORIGINAL POST: Why would a judge in a divorce case, that has been dragged out for nearly a year by the filing of continuances by one party, refuse to pronounce a divorce and instead "takes it under advisement?" The property settlement is pretty clear cut according to Missouri Statutes. Why would Judge Torrence have to spend 30 days pondering if two people should be granted a divorce? Something smells fishy here.
