The whole staff always smiles, you feel a positive vibe when I'm there. Very helpful, love Dr Brown and Lauren they really go above and beyond to help me through this difficult time in my life. And Cheryl at the front desk went above and beyond when i first called to get help. Thank u Lakewood Counseling staff!

My therapist, Johanna Roten, is great. Her approach contains a good balance of methodology, theory, and common sense. She is not judgmental in any way and compassionately helps her clients (at least me anyway) understand their reality. And I like that about her. In this current post-modern society, some therapist are so open-minded and philosophical that they fail to offer real, concrete solutions. Yet, Johanna has a keen ability to boil down these ideologies into achievable goals and effective strategies for success.

The receptionists are just as helpful and compassionate. They are always warm and welcoming, which is a plus considering many of the clients struggle with anxiety.

I truly am grateful for Truman-Lakewood and would highly recommend them.

I've just started going there...And they take straight medicaid FOR ADULTS!!!!! Dr Adams my psy...has gone above and beyond finding me a PCP and getting in places to be seen immediately! Can't start healing the mental when the physical is out of whack. For that alone she's awesome

The nurses don't help you with your medication one bit.... I think it's weird the nurse is so hostile about doing her job. I'll definitely be canceling my appointment and questioning if I should return. Especially since the meds you give me I can get through a normal MD who has more passion about people getting their meds on time that YOU prescribed.

Decided to quit this place after a couple of years. I got off my anti-depressant and was really struggling. Called the crisis line, called my doctor, left messages online and with the nurse, never got a call back from the doctor. This happened twice in the past two months. Time to find a place that cares for their patience well-being and can provide real support in the difficult time of transitioning off of medication.

Horrible. Thought I was seeing a Dr for my child turned out student then the Dr seeing had NO CLUE how to help. I called to talk to over seeing Dr whom informed me I would be able to get help for my child through another doctor. Thirty min later he cowardly had his nurse call to tell me they had no other doctors there to help my child. This place is a JOKE stay far away!

Call to try and get my son some help and all they were worry about is if he has been off weed for six months and not the he is having suicidal thoughts, depression, and that he needs some help with his medication. The least of my worries is weed. It's about keeping him alive.

Judgemental and should be reevaluated as psychiatrists
