There are a lot of maintained, clean, and unpaved trails here! They are foresty and in the shade. There are many awesome places to stop and enjoy the surroundings. There is also a children's play area here. I had a nice walk and plan on coming back. You can hear the cars on the roads outside of the park but that's the only issue. Just thought I would put it in the review for people who are not wanting that.

Love this place used to take my daughter there when she was little. we'd go for a hike together and now I take all my little cousin there . And they have fun there to there caves they have a few fishing ponds the big one has Turtles and fish in it they have a waterfall. I believe it's a good place for the kids to go on a good nature walk and discover different things and new things about nature.

Came here with my brother to take pictures one summer before covid. And returned recently with my youngest son to walk the trail. It was amazing both times. The scenery, the smells, the quiet calm and peace. This is exactly what I was looking for and exactly what I got. I can't wait to return!!

Really enjoyed being there. It was after rain 🌧 and sidewalks were muddy. Hiked through the paved path it was really a jungle like feels. Chimneys have historic accent. This park is kept in well maintained still gave 💯 natural feels. Didn’t go to the cave due to mud which seems to be very beautiful too. This small hiking was really adventurous for us.

I love visiting Cave Spring Park. The trails are fun for nature hiking. The chimneys are an interesting bit of history from the Settler's days. On this visit we found The Tree. It is a sight to behold. It had a bunch of blue striped lizards on it that were really interesting. Skinks maybe? Every visit you'll see something new! At the entrance there is a little lending library where you can leave a book and take a book if you wish. We have plans to come back with some books to share. Definitely come on out and stretch your legs here and bring the kids.

Cave Spring Park is really beautiful. I went there with Team Rubicon to cut down some trees so, I didn't get a good chance to explore. I would love to visit again and explore more. The classroom/office area was nice and the ac was amazing after cutting down trees in this hot weather

I was hesitant to go due to the location. Jackson county has the filthiest parks I’ve ever seen and this was in the city. However I was shocked. They had trash can which I don’t see too often and people used them. It was full of history and historical things to see. Wear hiking shoes instead of tennis shoes. It’s rugged and fabulous

Great place to go and just relax. Or walk the trails. The trails are pretty level and the path is very nice. The pond and stream is very peaceful. There is a ton of information to check out about the history of Cave Spring. Check out the visitor center.

Good little trails. My kids and myself loved it. Watch out for all the poison oak and what not but otherwise great little adventure.

My son had a blast here. The trail was about a mile. Fun to explore, pretty cool little cave! We finished up with playing at the park for an hour or so.

I am so mad I've lived here for so long and didn't know about this gem of a getaway till today. I got to step into a Forrest from the 1800's and see the homes fire places still standing. It was so cool to discover. And the built cave area that had running water in it was also very cool. Ill post photos.

cool park to discover and walk safe trails. it's kinda weird you feel like your in ther middle of nowhere in the forest but yet your surrounded by city outside the park. the historical things here are pretty cool too.

The little cave here reminds me of the 1990 movie Hook. In the movie peter is in the cave , and he finds his happy thought. The hiking trails here are nice and there are a fair amount of remains of old cabins.

Beautiful, fun park right in the middle of Raytown. It has a very “wild” feel to it, and it used to have lots of cabins, some of which you can see the remains of, and there were two lakes at one point. Very surprised by how enjoyable this slice of nature is!
