McCoy Park

Spent several hours on both playgrounds loved it. Loved how it's fenced in makes u feel better when lots of kids running around, knowing there is only one way out gives you a better way to feel relaxed

Always great for a free water park outing. Small and quaint, but packed full of fun. There's a couple parks to play in, a few picnic tables to sit at, and water to play in. Adults were having just as much fun as the kids were (me included). OH AND, the ice cream man came and we got frozen treats, too! The darker pictures were another night and I ess trying to chase the moon for a pic.

McCoy park is a very beautiful park. It has a very nice size walking trail around the entire park. There is also a handicap accessible ball field and multiple pro style horseshoe pits. And a great playground d for the kiddos

Not sure when they renovated but it's amazing now! Everything is fully accessible for kids in wheelchairs etc, but incredible regardless of a kid's mobility. Just wow.

I love that this park has two different areas for different age groups. Great for younger kids and older children.

Very nice park. Lots of parents bring their children there. Very close to Truman Library. Very nice playground.

There's a real nice tree at the bottom of one of the hills in the park I have a Little Rock retaining wall with shape of a half moon kind of surrounding the tree they must be a perfect place to sit in the shade Rockwall but think about things life

McCoy Park is handicapped accessible, designed with things like plastic slides so kids with cochlear implants can use them. It also features some water features that are ideal for little kids to splash in and cool off.

It is also the former site of "The Neck," one of the first interracial housing areas in Independence.

This park has came a long way since I was a kid. Have plenty of things for the kids to do.

Nice Peaceful Park across from the Truman Library but it's closed for renovations for a year! Great park lots of memories from there! Making more....

OMG! What a great place for kids! My 2 grandsons had a blast!

Great park with long sidewalks to walk, lots of benches, picnic tables, etc., and great playgrounds for kids. The new playgrounds they just put in are awesome.

Stellar family park.

If you want a fun park for old and young kids alike, come to this park! It has an attached splash pad that my kids love during the summertime! It has a wide open surrounding area, which helps to keep kids safe, and makes it quite lovely in overall appearance. We picnic here often.
They have horseshoe games here. I've seen people play, but have never joined them myself.

Love this park, definitely will be my choice of parkto take my grandkids

I love coming to McCoy Park!!! My kids always have fun here, even after labor day when the water will no longer be on!!! They love to play on the equipment, upper and lower playgrounds!!! We often grill here and make it a family day!!! We will enjoy coming here for years to come!!! I am sure of it!!!

We went for a child's birthday party. We talked to couple while we waited for our people to get there. But there was a woman there who was upset about not having her children and wanted to pick fights with everyone. Not cool. A parent called the police on her and they walked her off the property. So the children could go play in the water. It rained while we were there, and the children played in the water in the rain and that included my 33 year old daughter and her friends and my oldest granddaughter. I didn't want to get sick again so I just watched them play in the water like I used to with my children. There were some homeless people there on the picnic area. They have horseshoe games but they were locked and nothing to play with but the stakes. On the side of the park where we were there were four covered picnic tables. Behind the restrooms was a large party going on. They had a Mickey Mouse character. How cool for those children. Tip though, it would be nice for others who come after the parties to have clean tables. Hint, hint. Please clean up after yourselves when you patty at a park. There was one table down by the water that was covered with white foam or frosting even on the ground and it was gross.

Bathrooms were closed but other than that it was fun

Great playground for kids. My son loves it. The only problem is there are closing the splash park too early. 8:00. Last year the closing time was 8:30

My 3 yr old grandson loved this playground. Lots of climbing and the big slide were fun.

Great park for a picnic, with garbage cans, picnic tables, and plenty of shade.
