A Little BBQ Joint

Awesome decor for a restaurant. I ordered burnt ends with fries and hot potato salad. Along with a side of 3 ribs. Burnt ends were good. Hot potato salad was awesome. The ribs were awesome. Service was okay. They were out of chicken wings and chicken legs at 4 pm on a Sunday. There were tables available.

Delicious food! Nice place to stay, I loved it there. The meat and the steaks are so delicious! I loved it there! 😍 Everybody was so friendly. A fantastic evening at this place. When I am back in the USA/Kansas, I come back! 👍

I'm travelling and drove here because I didn't want to eat at a chain. Wonderful local vibe, friendly service. I had the ham/bacon sandwich with the pea salad. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. If I make it back to Independence, I'll make the drive again. Totally worth it.

I have been here several times and the food is great! Better than Jack Stack.
Bacon chip appetizer is a must!
Had the burnt end pot pie today and it was great.

Impromptu visit with some people out of town brought us back to this place after several years. I have to admit it was better than I remember. Tried the brisket wonton things which were different and interesting. Had the Friday special which was a pulled pork sandwich and two sides for around 12 bucks. Nice amount of meat, nicely cooked but required pretty copious amount of sauce. Blended the sweet and spicy and it turned out nice. The money were the sides. The hot potato salad was wonderful. The beans were really nice, think sweet almost molasses-esque. The restaurant was insanely clean, and about every square inch is adorned with interesting automotive themed signage, toys, or items. Offer indoor and outdoor seating it seems, as well as a bar. I’d definitely go back.

Went for BBQ for supper! So happy we made the 20 minute drive! As usual, the food and service were excellent. Miss having live music as in the pre-plandemic days, as the only thing that could have made dinner any better would have been to at least had some kind of music. Still, an excellent dinner in an excellent establishment. Already looking forward to our next dining experience. Thank you!!

I love this place! I’ve been going to Little BBQ Joint off and on for several years. Now that I’m older I order take out. But I love this place! You get a ton of food for your money and it’s really good! It’s also a great place to go and have a few drinks and a meal. The atmosphere is great! I would def recommend this place to anyone looking for some awesome Kansas City BBQ. ❤

We didn't go in and eat, but the food was great. The brisket was nice and tender. I tasted it with the sweet and spicy sauce, AMAZING. The turkey was a little dry but when you put sauce in it, it works. The baked beans were good too. I got a adore flavor from it, very delightful. We were recommended this place from a friend so we decided to stop by in our travels.

We're from southern Arizona, and were in town for a Chiefs game. I read the reviews for this place and it was so close to the rv park we stayed at, I couldn't pass it up. Wow, so glad we tried it!! It definitely lived up to its reputation!! We ordered online and picked it up...sorry about coming in the back door when I got there, lol😉
I had the brisket and pulled pork sandwich, with a side of beans. Both meats were absolutely to die for, especially the brisket!! And those beans...wish I knew the recipe!!

Everything was excellent the barbecue was great well portioned, Our server was very nice and got everything quickly. The atmosphere was very good and the décor was unique. We would definitely go back

When you call a place a BBQ "joint" this is the place you think of. We tried the ribs, sausage, pulled pork and brisket and they all were good. They have 3 different sauces, but I wasn't a huge fan of any of them. The fries were great. The gal that waited on us was super friendly and helpful. The exterior and interior look well worn, but in a good way. You just have to come see it because it's too hard to describe. I highly recommend you give this place a try.

Love the decor. The food is good. I like they gave options on their BBQ sauces.

Great sandwiches! And the cheesy corn! It's a neat little place, with a deck for warm weather, decorated in a hot rod style. It's a place to visit and enjoy the pause.

My wife and my 4 year old came here because we had a gift certificate to use. I was not expecting such great food and atmosphere. Our waitress was so knowledgeable, kind, and wonderful. We will definitely be coming back here again in the future. This is one of my favorite BBQ joints for sure. I got the special Torpedo sandwich. It had 3 different types of meats on it and was cut thick (which I really like). I also had fries and their baked beans. It was a great meal for a great price. Fully satisfied!

Got the burnt ends, they were delicious! Baked beans were superb, cheesy corn was good, not great. Atmosphere was casual and our waitress was friendly and responsive. Had an appetizer that was a potsticker with brisket, loved it, would make a fine standalone lunch!

Mary, and Melissa are the best!! Had a senior brisket sandwich, with fries, and it was damn good! Test drive some of those burnt ends too! Mary makes excellent drinks, the whole place is a experience. 😎🇺🇲

I have only been here 2 or 3 times, and I love the food, ambiance and the crew that run it.

We are always greeted as we enter, and the wait staff is always professional and eager to get you what ya want or need.

I reccomend the Smoked Bacon chips, that are Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!!!!!

The Chile Cheese Fries are great as well.

My dad and friend had the burnt ends, so I cannot elaborate on them, but they looked and smelled amazing.

I highly recommend this establishment to everyone wanting a good meal.

Great ribs and chicken tonight! Tall Tales band was playing in the back eating deck while we enjoyed the food. Very eclectic and tastefully done old country type decoration. Worth a trip for sure one evening!

Knew nothing about the place until we got there. It was absolutely food. They have Jeungling on draft, and the wait staff were very nice and super friendly. Will definitely be here again!!

Great brisket, great ribs, great sausage and surprisingly delicious baked beans that's can't be missed. I loved the atmosphere and our server was awesome. If you like BBQ don't pass this place up!
