Independence Mayor

I would like to take a minute to post a review. I have been in communication with several residents and the mayor about a problem we are having by the Blue Ridge Mall. I have been impressed with how proactive the Mayor is trying to be, how responsive she has been not only to the group, but in finding time to meet with me individually to talk about how we can help. I feel like too many times the political system forgets the individuals and small guys. It is very nice that our Mayor takes the concerns of the citizens personally and is willing to take action.

Almost a week ago my house was a crime scene. I witnessed the person who did it, as did multiple other neighbors. I then waited for four plus hours to be treated like a second class citizen of a third world nation by your "wonderful" "officers". If that wasn't bad enough the overwhelming "no body, no crime attitude" of the responding "officers" left me with a sense of it being pointless to call the police in an emergency situation. Serve & protect whatever. My car is still an unprocessed crimescene due to the fact that the "officers" refused to get the 9 mil slug out of my dash console. I can't help but feel that the treatment I received is a reflection of the deplorable ways that the upper echelon of law enforcement conduct themselves every single day. The worst part of all of this is that it has been almost a week & the "police" have done nothing. I get it, they are out of shape donut grazers who don't want to work for their paychecks, but for the love of God & all things that are holy, it's not a far walk, it's my neighbor across the street. Step one, get out of comfy car. Step two, walk across the street. Step three, arrest the idiot. I won't make the mistake of calling the police again. Definitely don't feel "served & protected".

Everyone at independence utilities needs fired scamming people. I know it's been brought to yalls attention multiple times and nothing had been done

When did it become more important to give out tickets for speeding than one for illegally driving an un registered car on road . Oh the officer might catch these criminals if they weren’t getting there free food at McDonald’s ,Quick Trip ,and what day is it they are at backyard burgers hmmm. Even Sugar Creek joins in for the fun really what a disgrace
