Took are 2yr old grandson for his haircut there he's great with kids. Top notch!

This was a great place! My husband was super impressed. Really comfortable atmosphere. He has long hair, and a beard which can be difficult to find someone who knows how to maintain the style. Also with a beard trim and shaping, my husband came out with a new found confidence. Thank you Don’s Barber! Plus you can’t beat the price.

Unable to contact this business ... not able to call for an appointment - always get a message saying the number is "out of service" or "this is not a working number" .....

UPDATE ... I've had a couple of haircuts here now ... the barber did a good job (I get a flat-top cut so I'm picky 😉) ... if there's a line of people, you'll have a "wait" - you'll know before you go in by looking at the two parking areas - on both sides of the shop ... they're small and fill up quickly ... the pricing for the attention to detail with a cut is VERY reasonable ... I'll be a repeat customer .....

Corey is everything a barber SHOULD be. He's knowledgeable, clean, quick, and he does a good job! Oh and did I mention that he's part comedian, too?? Definitely go in there and get a haircut sometime. I think he's open Tuesday thru Saturday.

Corey is the only barber my brothers & I have gone to since we found out about him. He’s always down to talk if you’re feeling it or not if you aren’t. I’ve never had a bad haircut here & even when it gets packed, everyone has a great time telling stories young, old, white, black, & Hispanic. From what I’ve seen, he’s great with kids as well. I also love that he doesn’t do appointments

My father passed away in late January. 22. I desperately needed a haircut after two years of Home haircuts. I stopped in to get a number 2 all over. I noticed they also did straight razor shaves. I went ahead and got the straight razor shave. I had not had a straight razor shave in more than two decades. felt so good attending the funeral looking really nice. I'm going to become a regular at Don's Barber Shop

Corey is an awesome barber who finds a way to connect with every client. He's always got a line waiting for his services, but accommodates by perpetuating an old school barber shop environment. Prices are better than competitive and in always waking out looking my best.

Best haircut in town and cheap!

I stumbled upon Don's Barber shop while I was temporarily living in Independence. Two words sum it all up: "Old School!" Corey (I believe the current owner) took over from his grandfather (Don?). He knows how to cut men's hair in the old way! I prefer a tight skin fade, and I have a hard time finding a "barber" who can do it - even some of the "barbers" at Ft. Leavenworth seem to struggle, but he gets it every time! The fact that he is not afraid to use a razor helps quite a lot! With the exception of the televisions on the walls the place has the vibe of an old school barber shop like where my dad took me to get my haircut when I was a boy in Detroit (If you don't know what I am talking about, you should watch Gran Torino!). I have since moved back to Saint Joseph, but it is worth my time (and gas money) ate drive to Independence to get my haircut at Don's! I cannot recommend this place enough! During certain times you will likely have to wait - maybe even up to an hour - so plan accordingly and bring something to work on, but the wait is well worth it!!!

Was quick and efficient. He got me in even though he was busy to help shave my uneven hair off while I was going through cancer treatments. Great guy, great haircut, great place.

It's a great place that reminds me of when I was growing up and went to the barbershop with my dad.

Enjoy the stories from all who comes in and out of the shop. Cory is very good, and gets you in and out in a quick time. Haven’t been going very long, but look forward to getting my hair cut there for a long time.

Don is a nice guy who is dedicated to giving everyone an experience above and beyond anyone else in town. Shaves cost $10, hair cuts cost $12, only accepts cash and doesn't tax anything. Affordable for budget people. Wait times can be long but overall worth it. I'm a customer for life.
