Mean Gene's Barber Shop

I've been looking for a great hair cut since I moved to town. I found this place through google. It had great reviews so i called and made an appointment. I was set up with Treva. She was awesome! It's always great to find someone that loves what they do. She took her time and did a fantastic job, It was the best haircut I've had since moving to the area almost four years ago. Gene is a very cool guy and runs a great shop. The place was extremely clean. The price for a guys hair cut was a little pricey but the care they took in providing a great service seemed worth it to me. Keep up the good work! I will refer you to friends and most definitely will be back for my next "fade!"

The best haircut I have ever had, robin did an amazing job, her attention to detail and over all class of the place is amazing! even the owner gene came over to look at my hair and give his opinion and skill. Would highly recommend mean gene's to anyone that wants a real hair cut! Awesome place and will be back soon!

I just moved to Liberty and was searching for a place for a good haircut. I was looking for a place that specializes in men's haircuts, somewhere that's convenient, and also a place where I felt welcome... That being said, I feel lucky that I chose to come to this barber shop. Gene was very friendly and easy to chat with. Erica cut my hair and she is highly recommended, haircut was thorough and professionally done. Nice location, very clean, easy parking, great experience. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Quality is King at Mean Gene's Barbershop. I get my haircut by Tim who is by far one of the best barbers I've ever worked with. Both Gene and Tim has been cutting hair for well over a decade and are amazing at what they do.

Not like those chains. Mean gene's takes their time on your hair. Tim cut my hair and boy did he do a good job. I can't say enough about gene's, a absolute must try. Best haircut I've ever gotten.

Previously, I have been going to local "chop shops" for a haircut and I would have to say I was a bit shocked coming here. This place is top notch. Its hard to find the type of professionalism and atmosphere you will experience here. Gene is a chill dude and his staff is really friendly. Highly recommended.

This beautiful bastard has been cutting my hair for around 4 years. He takes his time, is rather thorough, and will happily handle the particular requests.

He does great work with a straight razor. You get the full hot towel treatment, legit shaving cream dispenser, whole nine yards.

This is a mens barber shop. Sports all over the walls. Gumball machine, mini fridge of soda.

My son and daughter went to get their hair cut at Mean Gene's. They both love their haircuts. So much so, that my son woke me up early so I could help him fix his hair the same way Robin did for his first day of school.

To Autre vie. Whoever you are you have never been in my shop I check the books. So nice try social media rat fony. Mean Gene's takes a lot of pride in their cuts. We would never do that. If there was a problem, I would hope that people wouldn't bash a small business that is working hard to please every customer that walks through our door. It's simple, just talk to Gene. Very understanding and will make any problem right.

I moved to Florida 7 months ago and travel back to Kansas City to get my haircut by Gene because he’s literally THAT good. It’s crazy that he doesn’t charge more.
