Liberty Family Child Care

If I could give this place 1,000 stars, I would! I am a FTM and was VERY PICKY about if/when/where I sent my child to daycare.

Thankfully, we found this place! We couldn't be happier!

My child ADORES one of their workers, Miss Lydia and the owner, Jules (and her husband Jason who visits helps with closing duties at the end of the day). She absolutely loves going everyday. They are extremely communicative and let you know how your child is doing all day, will send pictures, and Miss Lydia can even tell when my child is having an off day. I've never seen anyone ENJOY their job like Miss Lydia. It makes me so happy and confident in my decision to have my child in daycare that her caretaker is ENJOYING taking care of her.

They will listen to your concerns, work with you to do what is best for your child! They are the best listeners.

I would recommend this place over and over. They are truly a blessing!

This is the absolute best daycare you will get. Although we had to leave due to personal circumstances, we truly miss this place every day. My son received the best, most attentive and loving care in the cleanest and safest setting. After a negative experience at a daycare prior to this, Ms. Jules, Ms. Lydia and their staff restored my faith in childcare and gave my baby as much attention and love as I would give him if I could stay at home. We will forever miss this place, and if you have the opportunity to send your child here, DO IT. It will be the best decision you make for their everyday well-being and their future.

My wife and I have been bringing our children here for 3 years. The staff are caring and they have a great curriculum. We were amazed at how much our first child was learning and knew there was no better place to take our second child. It’s not easy to trust just any place with our children but once we started bringing our first child we could see the bond quickly develop between my son and his teacher. They truly put family first and our children are excited to go to school every day. We wouldn’t trust anyone else with the care and development of our children.

Absolutely in love with this daycare! My baby started going there as soon as i went back to work, and they made the first week so much easier with pictures and not being annoyed by my million questions throughout the day. Everyone there is so nice, it so clean, and they are licensed in everything... I recommend it to Anyone looking for a safe secure place to send your children

This Daycare is absolutely amazing, I wouldn’t trust my child with anyone else! They are always up to date with apps and programs. Learning is a big priority for Jules and her team! My son is always bringing something new home. The team is great and always about the kids!

Best childcare in the city! Julana took care of our little girl and became family. We trust her and know she’s always acted in our girls best interest. The addition of Jason to her family has just made things even better than before. You won’t find anyone better or more caring. ♥

One of the most experienced daycares in the Northland. I have trusted their care for my kids over the years, since they first started as an in home daycare over 12 years ago. And even as a commercial daycare/preschool, the director still maintains the same quality of care she has come to be known for. I couldn't recommend another place for child care and kindergarten prep.

Being a first time mom, finding a daycare that felt like an extension of my family was huge for me. My almost two year old has been attending since she was ten weeks old and I couldn’t be more pleased with our experience here. The owner and all of the teachers are extremely welcoming and not only care for the children as if they were their own, but they teach them and prepare them for what’s to come after they leave and go off to school. So happy to have found a home here!

Being new to the area I was very nervous trying to find a child care I could trust. We have been using Liberty Family Child Care for almost two years now and couldn’t be more pleased. The teachers are wonderful!! Always willing to accommodate with my changing work schedule and communication has never been an issue. I am also amazed at how much he has learned while going here! Highly recommend! :)

I am currently an employee there. I love my job and love what I do! It's a very clean and fun environment. All the kiddos and babies are great and so cute. Mrs. Ju Mr. Jason are great and caring ppl to work for.

This place is ABSOLUTELY amazing. They treat you & your children like family and really care about educating your children! Miss Juju and her staff are wonderful and genuinely care about the children. We are so BLESSED to have found this place!!

Extremely unprofessional. I scheduled a tour with Jules at 5:20. I confirmed with her at 3pm that we would be there. I took my 15 month old son out at dinner time, in 40 degree weather, all to get there and have her tell me she left already. I texted her at 5:25 saying we had arrived and asking how to come in. She told me she waited five minutes, which she clearly did not as I pulled into the parking lot at 5:23. At least we know this wasn't the place to take my son.

My 1 year old has not attended this facility in over two months, and I have gone back and forth with writing this review. I decided I should share my story because it is raw and real, and hopefully it will help other parents in deciding which childcare facility will be a good fit for them. I will start by saying I will never recommend this daycare to anyone. My child attended this daycare for roughly three months. Over the course of the three months my child was here, there were several things that transpired that really bothered me. At drop-off and pick-up, it very much felt like a transaction. You (quite literally) hand your child over the counter, and the staff take them back to a classroom, and there is little conversation that takes place between the adults. This was a shock to me because at my child's last daycare, the staff worked really hard to build relationships with the parents and would let you see the classrooms and such. Here, not so much.
As a former educator, I know parent communication is a huge and vital part in being a teacher of any kind. Lydia (my child's teacher and "manager" of this facility) did not seem to want to partake in this part of the job, at least not when you had questions about your child's health and safety while under her care. Often times, even in person, when I would ask clarifying questions or inquire about my child's health, she would seem annoyed or like she didn't really care to answer my questions and give me good and detailed information.
I do not feel like the staff here are professional at all. There was one morning that Jules (the owner) was supposed to open up the daycare. The facility opens at 7 (or at least it is supposed to). My husband showed up a little after 7 and could not get into the building. He called the daycare numerous times, with no answer. He finally called Jules multiple times, and when she answered after several calls, she told him that she overslept and that it happens about 3 times per year, so he could expect it to happen at least two more times before the end of the year. I totally get that oversleeping happens to the best of us and that we are all human; What I could not believe was the final comment made.
Another example on lack of professionalism is the fact that my child got his care unexpectedly terminated for no reason at all. Not only did he get terminated without an explanation (which I understand is a part of many daycare policies), but he was kicked out via text message instead of a face-to-face conversation. There had not even been any prior conversations leading up to this decision letting me know that it was being considered. When taking away my child's naps was brought up and I asked to continue trying to get him to take two IF POSSIBLE, Lydia's response was that "she didn't know what to tell me". That text message was followed up with the one of her deciding on her own (she didn't consult Jules, or even let Jules know for that matter) to kick my child out.
On the Friday mentioned in the text message, I went in and asked Jules for my letter of termination. She looked at me like a deer in headlights. She told me that I would not be getting a letter of termination because my child was not getting kicked out. When I told her that Lydia had said otherwise, Jules was even more confused and couldn't give me a straight answer. It blew my mind that one staff member could make such a rash decision without even talking to their superior first.
Him leaving this daycare was a true blessing, and the facility he is at now actually teaches him things, they do arts and crafts, he is safe, and he is loved. It's a shame that Liberty Family Child Care couldn't offer those things to my baby.

I’d give a zero star if possible. Location of daycare is in a sketchy location and playground is VERY disappointing. We scheduled a tour and when we arrived it was very confusing trying to figure out which door to enter. I tried calling the lady i scheduled the Tour with and she wouldn’t answer her phone and never called me back. Just completely ghosted us. Very unprofessional.
