Questions about filing a small claims case. I thought I would start here asking the questions. The lady that answered the phone was the most cordial knowledgeable, helpful person that I have talked to on the phone in several weeks anywhere. Thank you for the help. Your knowledge was greatly appreciated.

I spoke with a lady regarding the probate process. She was extremely helpful and courteous.

We are fortunate to have such a professional staff to aid the public with efficient and helpful information. The Courts have many duties and the public is well served by courteous and polite staff. As an attorney, working in Clay County is a pleasure as they have their act together.

Typical court environment. The judges can be sturn and won't go easy on you either. So be prepared.

It is what it is

I visited the courthouse to be sworn in as a notary and had the displeasure of meeting a rude clerk WH. As soon as I approached the desk, she asked if I had an appointment and didn’t seem to want to assist. I said no, however, my welcome letter does not state an appointment is necessary. Another older lady walks over more politely to explain when she saw the look on my face. There was an issue with my name and WH handed back my ID and paperwork stating she couldn’t help and I needed to come back. Older lady steps in again to save the day letting me know I can call and have the info emailed. I was able to get things done, but this experience put a damper on my morning. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the names of the other two ladies who assisted. Hopefully, if anyone has to visit the office, they are assisted by someone else with a more pleasant attitude. Those ladies were the 2 stars of my review! If you all read this, thank you for making this situation better!

I'm sick at the moment and I called to see if I could have a continuous because I don't want to get anyone sick or God forbid if I have COVID but they told me I had to be here

These are the most unprofessional, disorganized, unkempt, untrained and slow bunch of workers in one building. I blame managment for hiding in their office while these young clerks give out bad information and are not required to behave or dress even somewhat professional. I am embarressed that this is the face of Clay County.

SHAUNA WALKER SHOULD BE FIRED ASAP. EVERYTIME I COME INTO THE COURTHOUSE TO HANDLE BUSINESS THIS OVERWEIGHT EXTREMLY VULGAR AND RUDE LADY WILL BE WAITING AT THE CENTER WINDOW AND READY TO BE MEAN AND NOT HELP ANYONE . WHEN I ASKED HER IF I COULD GO UPSTAIRS SHE TOLD ME NO AND TRIED TO HAVE ME REMOVED FROM THE COURTHOUSE. THIS TREATMENT IS UN NESESARY AND VERY UN PROFESSIONAL. HER BOSS LEE BUCKSATH NEEDS TO SIT UER DOWN AND PUT HER IN HER PLACE. THANKS

I have called multiple times over the weeks and have left voicemails. I was finally able to get a hold of the court, not only was the clerk not helpful, but she was incredible rude and disrespectful. How a government entity can act in such a way is baffling.

I was mail a letter for a fine that I should have never got to begin with but regardless the letter was dated 7/24 and said I had thirty days to pay or get charged more, yet the envelope said mailed 8/19. Anyone see something wrong with that picture besides me. Hummmmm wonder who made that happen. Of course that would be illegal for someone to do that on purpose wouldn't it.

Very unprofessional!!!! Rude judges!! Staff act like children! This place needs a good overhaul!!!! Wow...cannot believe the pettiness and the way the judges talk to people!!!

The place where it costs more to prove your innocence than to just plea guilty and deal with it.

Inconsiderate judges. Minor tickets here cost more than speeding tickets with the highway patrol. Good luck getting them to answer their phones.
