The staff is wonderful. Got to hear about the history of the store and learn more about their amazing baked goods. The owner is so nice and has a wonderful vision for the future of Wally’s.

Oh, man. Cakes, 🥧pies, cheese 🎂 cakes, European pastries, custom wedding cakes, cup cakes, birthday cakes, I could go on and on. Everything is made from scratch. This awesome bakery is worth the drive to experience. Tell them Sam sent yah. They have been in business a very, very long time. Easy access off of a main street. Plenty of parking.

The cronuts are delicious! Be sure to place your order on Wednesday's or sooner for pickup the following weekend. Everything is handmade and takes time so the orders need to be placed well in advance.

I've been a patron for forty years and hope for another 40.

One of their signatures are petit fours. Small individual cakes coated in chocolate. Their version is about twice the size of any other I've had. Beautifully decorated and absolutely delicious!

Hidden gem! First visit was not at all what I expected. I figured this unpretentious building housed a local doughnut shop. Instead we found a master pastry chef and had a remarkable introduction to some of their specialties and some history of this business in KC and nationally. It was an absolutely serendipitous experience... and the pastries we got were off the hook good! 👍

pastry is delicious. he makes some items that I've never seen elsewhere. The owner was friendly and happy to talk about the items and his store. He is in the middle of remodeling, so the displayed offerings are limited. He has more items available that are not shown so ask. If there is something in particular, you could probably call a day or two ahead to see if he could have them.

My wife asked for Wally's pastries for her birthday so we got some bread pudding and a bunch of petitfores. Everything looked and tasted great. The new owner is very friendly and is passionate about his craft. Thanks, Wally's!

I had to share this Miracle! Wally’s saved the day to my daughters baby shower. It was an Emergency our previous cake fell apart. I had 5 minutes to find one. They truly came through for our day. Thank you so much! This was the best cake I ever had white chocolate Crim Brulé! Thanks again guys. So keep in mind if you have an emergency or just something delicious go see them!

Awesome customer service, really nice down to earth people! Great pastries at great prices, and in my opinion the big chain bakeries just can’t compete.

This shop is the perfect place to order a cake. The owner even called me back when they didn’t answer at first, which you never see anymore. I loved that! I needed a cake in a couple days, and my normal cake lady was booked. This guy came through, and was way over the top on everything! It was so tasty, and creative!!! Thanks again, and I’ll be ordering more cakes!

Best pastry I have ever had, super moist and tasted incredibly fresh and organic. This place is incredible with a wholesome friendly vibe. Highly recommend, can’t wait to take my mother here.

We have been ordering birthday cakes from Wally's since I was a kid. The owner is a friendly pastry expert and his cakes are always amazing. Definitely worth a try if you have never had it before. It's an unassuming little place, but don't let that steer you away. I really enjoy the flavor of the cake but the smooth and delectable buttercream frosting always keeps me coming back for more. Also, try the "Krownutz"! They are fun and delicious.

We try to come here a few times a month! Always a pleasure, the pink champagne and white chocolate creme brulee are my fav flavors.

The aroma upon entering was amazing. The young man who helped us was very friendly and informative, as was the owner who gave us some yummy samples. Everything looked delicious, and what we've tasted so far has been scrumptious!

My office birthday celebration was greatly enhanced by the awesome good traditional Tres Leches cake and outrageously decadent cocoa chocolate. Both were beautiful and incredibly delicious. Thank you, Uhl family, for carrying on with your dad's tradition of exquisite baked delights!

I called for a custom made graduation cake at what most bakers would consider last minute and not only did they deliver a cake more beautiful than I thought I could get in 3 days time, it tasted WONDERFUL! It was literally melt in your mouth gooooood! Everything was explained thoroughly in regards to what could and couldn't be done and the price was very affordable. I will definitely be back for every special occasion! Trust me. You WANT this place to make your cake! It's easy peasy.

Manfred is a second generation pastry chef and does amazing work. Straight forward on pricing, what can be done, and what can not be done. You get exactly what he promises. Make sure to place orders early as the shop stays busy!

Visiting KC & checked out some local bakeries. So let me say if you judge the book by the cover you will miss out on some very delectable baked goods at Wally's Pastry Shop. Highly recommend the bread pudding as well as their tarts.
