Abelardos’s Mexican fresh

It’s a Mexican drive thru; I love it- it’s open late and you get Mexican restaurant quality food without going inside if you don’t want to. People complain about the hours, but I am pretty sure that it’s a family owned business and doubt they wanna work all the time. I think it’s awesome. Came across it one night when I was hungry w a friend and we didn’t have any complaints. People are being so critical about the service and the hours blah blah blah it’s good food get it when you can. I’ve never had bad service there either just saying.

My family and I love this place! Taco Tuesday is the best and feeds our family of 4 at a reasonable price. Besides the amazing food, having the convenience of a drive thru is the reason we first tried this place. Now to convince them to build one closer so we can go more often 😅

We were amazed that this little drive-through Mexican place was open from 7 AM to 2 AM and were able to get good, non-breakfast grub during breakfast hours. For two people we spent around $20, which is probably the most affordable non-fast-food food that I've had in a while. I had the chicken torta and my husband had the veggie burrito and there was so much food that we were full until this evening! And the food was impeccable. The chicken tasted like it had been marinating and simmering. The roasted pepper salsa was incredible. I'm so sad that we live out of town so that we aren't able to become regulars.

Food is always fresh and good! Getting two picky kids to eat the same thing is rare, but this place does for them! Love that they have later hours, for that late night weekend food run! Always consistent and fresh. Definitely visit this place once a month.

This Mexican food reminds me of what you find in California! So far, it's my favorite in the KC area, hands down. The surf & turf burrito is MONEY!!!

This place is great. Went on a Tuesday around 6pm. Drive Thu moved fairly quickly. The food was excellent. The tacos were fresh and crispy! Not pictured is the Horchata which is delicious as well. Overall I’d recommend this place, staff was friendly and the food was great. Will be back!

I order from Abelardo‘s probably twice a week. Their food is always great. I also love the wide variety of food. This is nothing like a Taco Bell fast food this is genuine real Mexican food. I order and I also eat at the restaurant either way I’m always pleased.

Tried a little of everything and have never been disappointed. Just found the Texas rice bowl( order extra queso and don't forget the guacamole sauce) and OMG it was so good! It was also made so fast and fresh. Will definitely be back to get just that let alone all the other good food.

They have delicious authentic Mexican food. Service is friendly. Small place, not much seating inside. Gets really busy sometimes, so order ahead. Drive through doesn't move fast because they're making all your orders fresh. They can be stingy with their suace. Ask for more when ordering. The Aguas frescas are so good and refreshing. Prices are good. Most of the food comes with cheese on it. Like the chorizo and Machado. I wish the quesadias had Mexican cheese. It all American cheese.

The price might scare you when you see a taco for $4.99... but I'm telling you IT'S WORTH IT. IM ADDICTED. The rice...delish, Best stop for late night eating. I stop on Friday and Saturday after work at 11pm and it's hands down the best. Do yourself a favor and get just a regular beef taco. They're deep fried and puffy. They're too die for. Out of about 50 orders, only 1 was SO-SO. They're on top of their stuff. Going for the Menudo next. We need some Fideo though....hint hint... Thank you for the great service! Please tip the staff. They work hard and deserve it. As a fellow employee of service industry, I applaud your restaurant and the employees. I think its the nighttime manager on weekends, he hands down has it running like a fine oiled machine. You will not be disappointed.

Hands down the best birria tacos I have ever had. I am in Claycomo for a month for work and I’ve become a regular during my time in Kansas City. Their taco, quesadilla, and birria have all been phenomenal. I’ll be going there for lunch today actually.

Very hospitable. Carolina was a sweetheart waitress of making sure everything was fine with our food. Food was definitely 10/10 !!! You gotta come here and give it a try!

Never fails! This is our go-to spot for fast, fresh and authentic Mexican food. We LOVE supporting this restaurant and will continue to as long as it’s in business!

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat for lunch while I was working. Got a california burrito and was not disappointed.

Delicious authentic Mexican food for meat lovers, vegetarians, and pescatarians. The red sauce has depth and richness, the Diablo burrito if you add cheese sauce is spicy however the normal queso is mild, one of the best Mexican restaurants I have had in many years.

First Timer!! Taco Tuesday!!! 5 for $5.99. Awesome Deal for Awesome Tacos! Had the soft beef this time. Very good! Will be back next Tuesday!!

The best burritos you will ever find!!!!! I discovered this place recently and I'm hooked!! Burritos are huge and so filling. Tastes like real food and gets you FULL...not like fast food. The drive through is so convenient and the guacamole salsa is just to die for. This place is our new go-to for quick and good food. You've got to try it if you haven't! Tortas and breakfast burritos are also amazing 👏 😋

I waited too long to finally try this place!
Excellent tasting burrito without the greasy aftermath dripping down my fingers, hands and arms because I was in deep, especially with the flavorful hot sauce!
Seriously, I could've used a kleenex as my napkin due to lack of grease!
And don't get me started on the taco!
I know tacos, I love tacos, I almost married tacos in 1991 but I met my wife. The tacos were that good! P.S. I'm still married to my wife, so I know what I'm talking about!
