Buying and finding a house in this type of market was not an easy task.. Anushka was thorough, professional and great to work with. Anushka is not only a fantastic realtor, she is an excellent support system. Anytime there was a house we wanted to see Anushka moved fast, as houses were flying off the market. She negotiated and helped us to obtain the house that fit all our needs, working hard to make sure things like repairs were fair. Anushka is amazing at her job and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to purchase a home, you won’t regret it. :)

Anushka doesn’t waste your time and finds you what you are looking for and is a very honest and straight forward person. My son purchased a home (house), from Anushka and was able to close and move in withing about two weeks flat. The house and the neighborhood are fantastic as well as the neighbors themselves. Without any hesitation, I can state beyond a shadow of a doubt that you will not find a better person to work with in the real-estate market than Anushka.

My husband and I had the best experience dealing with Anushka. We had to deal and correspond by long distance, electronically emails and phone messages and without a hitch she had listings for us to look at that made our long distant visits productive and made the best use of our time in town. Kristina Hafer from At Home Real Estate helped us find the home that was just right for our needs, being flexible with our strict schedules and demands (most of the showings were on short notice and during weekends). She is patient, honest, offers expert advice, and knows the Manhattan and surrounding markets really well. She went above and beyond the call of duty to help us locate trustworthy contractors for work we needed done before moving into the new property. She even volunteered to help supervise some of the work when we weren’t available. I can’t thank her and recommend her enough.

Kristina Hafer is the best realtor I have dealt with so far (I purchased and sold four properties in the past). She was highly recommended by my new department, when I decided to move to the Manhattan area. Throughout the several months we interacted, she was professional, helpful and knowledgeable. She showed a genuine interest in getting us the best deal, and followed the inspection with professional quotes on the (quite minor) items that needed addressed, saving us an additional significant amount on the re-negotiated purchase price. But all these can be expected from a good realtor. What made her stand out was the fact that, after the purchase, and when any reasonable person would consider the realtor’s work done, she helped us with replacing the floors. In our absence, she set up appointments with several flooring companies and contractors, got us several quotes, and arranged access to the property for the contractor we finally chose. She even had her husband haul some of the hardwood from Topeka (when the Menards in Manhattan ran out of it). Overall, we could not have been happier -- in fact, we kind of feel like we owe her.

Several weeks ago an agent in this company carried a for sale listing for a house directly behind ours. After watching the grass and weeds grow to higher heights we decided to contact our local code services to see what could be done since a sale was pending. The grass and weeds were a code service violation. A representative from code services stopped by to see the realtor in question about the grass/weed problem. Since the realtor is not just selling a home but a neighborhood she should have just went ahead and had someone mow the lot. Instead, what she did was contact the new owners; who by the way have way more immediate stuff to be concerned with. The problem with this situation is that it is not very nice or attractive when you move in to a new house and have all of the other moving priorities to work on, and the yard becomes just another concern. Rather than spend $40-45 to mow and get the house ready, this agent did nothing to make this a presentable yard. Now, the yard still needs mowing and weeds are abundant. She sold the home but not the neighborhood. We take care of our neighborhood and hope in the future that she adopt a more proactive approach when selling a home & neighborhood. I would not recommend.
