I was a plus size bride and I knew that finding a dress that didn’t make me feel like a lump in a white table cloth was going to be a hard to find thing. I chose to shop local knowing that Sam and her store catered to all shapes and sizes! I fell in love with 2 dresses and she helped me and my party pick the best dress for me! I chose a different color than what was common for that style, and I ordered my dress in April of 2022 for my wedding in April 2023. Sam was upfront with me about shipping and the delays with all of the strikes that were happening with dock workers and truck drivers. She told me that the estimated shipping date was October but she told me to expect it more towards December. December came and there was more delays due to the holidays, which is understandable. Same with January. Now it’s prom season, and the warehouse has its own rules. We just have to deal. In March, I was called the minute they unpacked my dress, and I picked it up and it was even more beautiful that I could have pictured! Bless Joni (Joni’s stitch by stitch) in Pratt as well for being the speediest seamstress around, as I’m short and this dress needed about 2ft cut off the bottom. I absolutely loved my dress and the experience provided by SmallTown Couture because I felt like a bride, not a lump.

These last two years I have bought my prom dress here and both times I had absolutely amazing experiences here. Whenever I would start dragging myself down or body shaming myself they would stop me right in my tracks and tell me I was absolutely beautiful. They managed to pull dresses that fit me perfectly and matched every single rule I had to follow for my school's dress code. This year they even followed one of the important parameters for me. Wich was matching the dress to a specific flower. So I can absolutely say that I believe this is the best place to get a dress for anything important that you may need it for.

Julie and Sam have always made me feel the most comfortable in my skin. I have purchased two dresses from Small Town Couture, but I have been in the store, tried on and looked at dresses alone and with friends since they’ve opened. My most exciting in store experience was choosing my homecoming court dress, where they gladly helped me with my indecisiveness in picking out my perfect dress! We weighed pros and cons together and they made me feel so beautiful the entire time. Sam went out of her way to answer any texts she received from me about accessorizing and hair/makeup even after the purchase. I’m so thankful for them for helping me feel like the prettiest girl in front of my whole school. I have never had or witnessed a negative experience in their shop, and I recommend them to anyone in need of formal wear and a good time. Love those girls! Shop local!!

Pratt is so blessed to have this business! The ladies are so good at finding just the right dress for my daughters. My daughters have so much fun getting the royal treatment and I enjoy that I can just sit back and relax. They do all the work of getting them into the dresses. The dresses are good quality and they have a wide variety of styles and prices. It generally has taken us an hour! This beats driving to Wichita and going store to store! Thank you!!

Sam and Julie are FANTASTIC! I have bought my last 3 pageant gowns and a handful of cocktail dresses from SmallTown Couture, and every single experience has been phenomenal. Sam and Julie did amazing helping me find prom dresses and then my wedding dress! They always made me feel special! They helped me pick out what would be best for the groom and groomsmen, they came in on their days off to measure them! I appreciate both of these ladies and will always recommend them!❤

My daughter and I have always loved your store. After one year of struggling to find a variety of dresses small enough to fit my daughter, you made a point the next year to welcome us with a smile and tell us excitedly that you had a wider selection of dresses for my daughter to choose from in her size. Local family owned shop. The nicest ladies run this fabulous hidden gem in the heart of downtown Pratt. Exquisite gowns galore by name brand designers the attention to detail on these gowns is outstanding. They have anything you need for your prom, pageant, wedding, bridesmaids, and mother dresses. Unique gowns found in an easy to find location. Plenty of parking on 3rd and on main Street

The ONLY place I will ever go to for dresses!!! They have anything and everything, very polite and helpful staff and a friendly atmosphere!! Every time I go they help me find whatever I need and am always satisfied!! Thankful we have a store like this in our tiny town of Pratt! Thank you all for everything you do❤❤

The staff was so helpful and really knew how to pick dresses based on your price range and your likes and dislikes. They will also help you get dresses zipped up if u or your friend can't do it yourself. It was a super fun experience overall and I will definitely be buying a dress from there.
