We stayed at the Hotel Indigo and decided to have breakfast at this restaurant inside the hotel. Our overall experience was fantastic.
The service and food were 1st class. My wife ordered Shrimp and Grits Benedict. It was the best Benedict that we ever had.
My bowl was delicious. Coffee and juice excellent.

Traveling through Kansas City, I decided to stay at the Hotel Indigo. I was happy to discover this restaurant was at the bottom level of the hotel! Upon first entering for breakfast, I was immediately impressed by the grandeur and historic feel of the place. It is a very unique feeling to eat in a place where so many others have been before you. I quite liked it and felt that the restaurant meshed well with the existing building.

For my order, I just went with the simple breakfast sandwich, which was served on my favorite, an everything bagel. The egg was served over medium, and the yolk made a delicious mess of the sandwich. It was absolutely delicious, and I have no notes. The "breakfast potatoes" were potato wedges, which was unexpected, but they tasted good and were cooked well. Potato wedges are not my favorite, but I have no complaints.

I also met a very lovely man who works here and we had a great conversation although I must confess that I didn't fully understand all of it 🤣 This is a great place to eat if you're staying at the Hotel Indigo or just in the neighborhood!

My bride and I stayed at the Hotel Phillips and decided to try DOTT Boss since it's in the same building. She had the breakfast tacos and said they were a little spicy and very delicious. I had the fried bologna sandwich which was nothing like my childhood memories, this was elevated to another level. The bologna was more similar to pastrami and flavorful. Adding a fried egg on wheat bread with an aoli sauce made this one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. With mimosas and a beautiful date this was not just brunch but a wonderful experience. And thank you for the wonderful customer service!!

Good food with lots of fresh takes on American classics. Everything we had was good. A bit expensive, but most things in the area were comparable.

The food was so delicious. And the desserts were amazing. Very cozy, warm and inviting inside.

I've been here a handful of times over the last few months and have had a wonderful experience every time! The servers and bartenders were very attentive and kind. The manager, Lucas, was very active around the restaurant and checked in on us several times to ensure we were having a great night. Highly recommend their "Cold Pizza" and their cocktails!

We stayed at The Hotel Indigo and didn’t know this place was attached to it. We received vouchers with our stay for free breakfast (up to $17 per person) and were pleasantly surprised about the food.

Breakfast:

The egg sandwiches were huge and the bagels were soft. The potatoes are the best. Perfectly seasoned and a little bit of crunch.

The French toast was a good portion and super tasty. Again, the breakfast potatoes 👌

Yogurt and jam was a little bland but if you’re into not so sweet, this could work for you.

The breakfast tacos were on the money! Definitely give these a try. So much flavor and good portion.

The eggs Benedict was tasty and a good portion. Best part are those potatoes with it!

Dinner:

Nachos were ehhhh, not very good in my opinion. Just very basic and no shine to them.

Alfredo dish was really good and the portion was great. Super tasty and not tooo creamy and we added the broccoli for some added flavor.

Tenders salad was very basic and not worth the price.

Drinks:

Bloody Mary was made just right and hit the spot for an early morning pick me up.

Mimosa was mixed perfectly and tasted great.

All in all we had great experiences dining here. The food for the most part was good and the plate portions are generous. I think the prices are a little high but I guess that’s the trend in downtown Kansas City!

Give this place a try.

The food at Dot Boss was immaculate, delectable and only over shadowed by the impeccable service. I absolutely recommend that anyone should treat themselves to this amazing restaurant.

Great breakfast, although pricey. Loved the Biscuit Gravy and Bratwurst with scrambled eggs.

Excellent service. Awesome flavor. The wife and i visited Dott Boss a few weeks ago during a weekend getaway. Obviously we are not from the Kansas City area. She found it thru Google, and also close to the hotel we were staying at, the rest is history. Visited on a Sunday for brunch. I do not recall the names of the dishes we ordered, but the experience was great. We will definitely visit again in the future.

I haven’t eaten here, but I live in the neighborhood and stop by for a drink here and there. It’s definitely a beautiful ambience, with stellar service. One of the bartenders concocted a pistachio scotch drink that is very palatable and delicious; I have been treated with kindness and care every time I’ve been in. One of my new favorite watering holes

Delicious brunch! We got the brioche French toast and biscuits & gravy with the intent to split half, but the French toast was so good, I almost ate it all before realizing it! It was just crispy enough and the sweet cream on the plate was a perfect addition. The dinner & cocktail menu looked great as well, so we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town!

Staying at the hotel here and I was taken when walking by this place. It looked and felt like a place Al Capone would have dinner on friday night after a hard week of murder and tax evasion. The food and craft cocktails were also on point. Great brunch menu! The experience was completed by an exuberant and competent staff that were both excited and efficient. I was excited to eat nothing but local barbecue while in town but I still found myself at Dott Boss, twice.

Fantastic food and service. Our server, Austin, made sure we had everything we needed and offered us coffee/water to take with us. I ordered the French toast - the berries are fresh, the brioche was absolutely delicious and had tons of flavor. My husband got the everything bagel sandwich and breakfast potatoes. He loved the sandwich, and would have loved the potatoes if I hadn’t tried to eat them all. There is also a gentleman, Gia/Geo(?), bussing tables, rolling silverware, etc. he is the SWEETEST! So happy, cheerful, and purely just made both of us smile- we would literally go back for him.

Very nice restaurant that is technically part of the Indigo hotel, but you wouldn’t know it and it is so much better than typical hotel restaurants.
Service was awesome. Adam our service/bartender was very friendly and chill.

This is the freshest food I’ve had during my travels to KC. Great unknown spot. Great wings, great pot stickers.

Very nice space with a cozy feel. Super friendly and engaging bartenders. If you have the KC Passport, cocktails in photo are BOGO. The Manhattan, pictured, was superb! Will be returning!

Food is pricey, but everything I have tried is good. Service is always great.

My wife and I took a break from espresso shops and tried this hotel restaurant for coffee. It turned out surprisingly better than expected. The service was excellent, and the cappuccino was better than expected. It was good that I tried this restaurant.
