Riverfront Park

Riverfront Park is a pretty cool place to chill out for a while, have a picnic, get some photography done or just go for a hike. There’s a golf area over there if you’re into that, but it’s just a good area in northern Lawrence to just escape. There’s plenty of parking there and you can definitely have some alone time while still being in the outskirts of a college town.

One of my favorite spots in town when I am wanting to get back to my roots and enjoy nature. Whether trekking out on my own or taking the dogs for an outing, I visit here several times a month, all throughout the year.
There is a porta-potty, very well tended paths and a nice disc golf course. Great for all ages. And the big bonus is that it is just minutes away from downtown Lawrence (by car).

I hit up all the dog park in LFK me and my boy Rufus and I love this one for secluded. Morning walks to sit and drink and cup of coffee and have a smoke in the morning and jusy sit and enjoy nature

Love the outdoor experience along the river as well as being close to downtown area.

Great off leash dog park trails and Frisbee golf course. Low traffic and lightly maintained. Boat ramp for river access.

Beautiful little off leash dog park.

Good little riverside park. Good views and trails just a short drive from mass street. I played the disc golf course, which is easy to find and a decent little course. 9 holes with two baskets on each. The have each basket numbered 1-18. I only played through once, so the front 9. It seemed the second time through would have been a little harder

I live in Kansas City,gotta love the river around here. It's beautiful and I love anything to do with it. The name of park says it all, Riverfront park. On the river, almost always peaceful.

It was a great outdoor getaway simply magnificent, alot to take in if you enjoy nature put this place on your list of must see places.

Always such a lovely feature of Lawrence recreation. I visit yesr-round and these parks have a lot of love and attention put into them.

The stairway down to water is neat!

Love just grabbing breakfast and sit on a bench and enjoy the view. Plenty of passerbys, who are always friendly, generally.

Nice place to bring dogs to run. Place some frisbee golf or go out on the river.
