Zio Johno's - Marion

Great food and good location. Bread is very good. I like having a dinner salad with my meal and it’s always been good. Family spaghetti dinner is a good deal for take out. Price is reasonable. Nicely decorated inside.

I don't live in Marion any longer, but I was in the area and treated myself to a late dinner at Zio Johno's. Grace was my server, and was prompt with my my ice tea and meal. There was no waiting (weeknight). The fresh hot garlic bread was amazing and fluffy. And the lasagna was delicious. Everything is always a treat to your palate here.

Had the Parmigiano Shrimp appetizer, served on a bed of Spaghetti. Tasty! Very good pizza. We tried 3 kinds, and liked them all. Nice bottle of Italian Chianti, 2021 Bell'Agio. Cheescake was good, Chocolate Cake was a little dry. Good service. Reasonable cost for 3 people, including gratuity, $40 each, and plenty of leftovers 😉

Great place to eat. The spaghetti is excellent and enjoy the garlic bread as well. The portions are nice size. They will be opening a new restaurant in Oelwein soon and I can’t wait. Go here whenever I’m in the area.

No visit to Cedar Rapids is complete without bringing the OG back to Des Moines. The Family Meal with spaghetti, garlic bread and two extra gondolas makes us all happy.

We love their red sauce and their pizza is one of our favorites in the area. You can order a bucket of spaghetti to go and we always add a bucket of meat sauce to take home and freeze for our own spaghetti or ravioli nights.

Their Gondola's are superb! Long time favorite in Marion, IA! Been going back for decades now.

- Gondola Sub: Absolute best thing on their menu! Their bread is famous and the sandwich fillings make it even better. Get it with mayo and tomato if you like that kind of thing. Even chipotle sauce is great with it.

- Spaghetti in a Bucket (Family Size): Delicious. You do have to mix it up before serving. The bucket comes filled to the brim. It has all the hallmarks of a good spaghetti with noodles cooked just right, the sauce a good blend of tomato and seasoning. I could use a tad more sauce, but that is really just a preference. Objectively, it was spot on.

- Garlic Bread: Slightly more on the garlic side, which I like. Their bread is famous in town and is great.

Quick and friendly on Friday night at 5pm. We ordered ahead.

I love this place. Always great service and great food. I love the dining area, but it's always nice to get take out as well.

This is a great place to do a family carry out meal and feed a large crew without spending tons of moolah! AND EVERYONE loves spaghetti, pizza and garlic bread so its a win win. We get the Sicilian Feast for $29.99 with one bucket of spaghetti, 1pizza and a loaf of garlic bread. I always make a nice tossed salad to go with it. They say it feeds 8 but we always have leftovers!

Best location in the Cedar Rapids area! The food is always delicious and out in a timely manner. The wait staff is very friendly and add to an all around great atmosphere for a quick pick up or nice sit down meal with the whole family! If you haven't tried the shrimp alfredo, mediterranean pizza/calzone, or muffaletta (delicious sandwich) then I highly recommend heading into Zios right away! Also a big fan of the baked penne and chicken parmigian. I can't forget the garlic bread but I think everyone already loves that!!

We were in Marion for the regionals swim meet and were one of a few large parties who booked for that night. Even with how busy the place was with several large groups the staff was friendly, service was timely, and food was good!

I love going to Zio Johno's but last night I received my food before I received my beverage. In fact, I was 1/3 finished with my spaghetti dinner before I was asked how my food was, and they weren't very busy at all. Food was awesome as usual. I also would have liked a salad which used to come standard with a meal. I'm not sure how long ago that changed, but I always forget this. Half way through my dinner, I still requested a salad.

I wish you could respond to other people's reviews. Like the woman complaining about portion sizes being too small.

Lady, you can get a literal bucket of pasta. You going to be the first person with type 3 diabetes at this rate, calm down.

It's a great place to have a birthday celebration. Everyone can order what they want, and its all good food 👌

Marion zios has the softest bread. Never overbaked. We had ours delivered. All was piping hot. Love it.

It was absolutely amazing! The food was the best we have had in a very long time. Service was excellent!

Whenever I come to Marion we go here. This time we catered food for our son's.hockey team. Tons of hungry hockey kids devoured the food and want it next time they come to town.
