Ramsey Communications now Tech Solutions

I called Tech Solutions on a Thursday morning requesting a quick turnaround quote and install of low-voltage/network wiring and network hardware for a small new office space in Iowa City. By Thursday afternoon Robert had returned my call to discuss the job. Robert asked the right questions and committed to get me a quote the following day after he visited the site. The quote arrived on Friday as promised, I asked for a few revisions, which Robert promptly provided, again asking the right questions. The following Monday Robert had an installer onsite and completed the job to our satisfaction. Tech Solutions treated me well, charged a fair price, and delivered a quality install all within a very tight schedule. I highly recommend this company.

I gave Tech Solutions my business to run a simple cable into my home. They sent a technician with little/no residential experience and admitted he did not know the codes. They charged me 6 hours for ~2 hours of actual electrician work as well as an extreme markup for materials. After a brief discussion of my bill, I called three times to dispute the charges and was unable to get anyone to talk to me/return my voicemail. I will not be a returning customer and actively suggesting that others find an alternative electrician.

I took a job here Sept. 16th, which started out fine for the first two weeks. Then my boss gave me a weird speech that I think meant he wanted me to work 50hr work weeks(not what I agreed to in the contract). There were two more of these speeches that I had trouble interpreting along the lines of working even more hours. Dec. 16th my boss came in my office and let me go first thing in the morning with no clear reason why. Please be cautious if you are thinking of taking a job here. You will be expected to work 50+hrs a week.
