My husband purchased a Nolting Longarm for me 9 years ago - I have never had a major problem with it, anytime I have had a question or had minor issues, I just stop in and the Techs are happy to explain. Over the years they have explained the best way to take the machine apart so I could move it. How to repair a bur that was catching my thread and breaking it (I thought I needed to replace the part - turns out I could just fix it). So far I have only brought the machine in once and they were able to fix it and send it back home with me same day! Couldn't be more grateful that they stand behind their machines and are happy to help, and teach you about any issues you may have.

I just toured the shop in Iowa where each Nolting is custom built, one at a time. It was obvious the technicians and machinsts take great pride in their work. Completely made in the USA! Everyone was very nice and willing to answer questions and explain processes to me. They adjusted my old machine, but I fell in love with a bigger pre-loved one, so I am looking forward to the upgrade! I feel very special to be part of the Nolting Family😊

If you need to buy parts for your Nolting machine I recommend ordering from a local dealer or small online retailer because unfortunately the customer service at Nolting Manufacturing is really bad. I have had my Nolting machine for 7 years and this is my first time having to order new parts, which says something about the excellent reliability and longevity of the machines themselves. I wish the staff reflected this in how they handle online orders.

Upon placing my order which was sent through USPS, I never received tracking. After nearly 2 weeks of no updates I called Nolting to request tracking which showed my package had been delivered. There was a key in my mailbox to the parcel locker but no package in the locker.

I was told by Nolting that this was MY problem to solve, that since the tracking showed delivered, it was no longer their responsibility and if I wanted my parts I would have to order and pay for them again.

I did end up at my local post office branch to try to figure out what happened to my package but it seems that it was delivered to the wrong parcel locker and there was nothing that could be done.

I was also told by Nolting that they do not take out extra insurance on packages because customers already complain to them about the cost of shipping and they don't want to have to charge their customers more for shipping.
I recommended to the staff member that they pursue the insurance claim on the minimum amount at least so that maybe they would refund my money or send me a new package. After 2 more days of waiting with no call back, (I had to follow up) I was told that they could not reach the post office by phone (even though insurance claims are filed easily online) and that there was nothing they would do for me.

The staff member continued to double down on her claim that none of this was her responsibility, that the insurance is worth nothing on such a "small amount" (yet she still wouldn't offer me a refund) and that they've never had to file a claim with insurance and that they had never had a problem with lost packages. At one point in the whole ordeal I was told I would be getting a call from the owner to try and come to a resolution but that call never came.

In the end, I paid for something that I never received. ANY OTHER BUSINESS that I've had a similar problem with immediately sent me a replacement package or issued a refund, and dealt with the shipping company themselves. This is a major disappointment because Nolting has a wonderful product and they really should stand behind it and provide better customer service.

Refused to give refund after changing a class to a day earlier for my family member that drove from Kansas. Lost her business for life.
