Golden Palace Chinese Buffet

This is our "go-to" place for Chinese in Cedar Rapids/Marion.

The food is ALWAYS great and served hot & fresh.

We usually get here about the time they open for lunch cuz it does get pretty busy.

The restaurant could use a little updating and a face-lift. The food is too good here to have an out of date/worn decor.

They do offer a discount to military, Veterans, and first responders.

Definitely stop here if you're looking for great Chinese food.

I have been going to this restaurant for many years. The food is great, the people & staff always remember our drink orders since we're regulars, the atmosphere is a classic chinese diner and while other reviews whine and complain, I find this place amazing for their buffet prices. Never had a bad visit in all the years me & my husband have been going here. Great for families, couples or a quick bite.

It's not the shiniest of places but the food is, well, golden haha!! I love it! I haven't tried the buffet so I can't speak as to what that's like, I usually order ahead and my food has always been perfect and delicious. I don't really stray from my favorites, sweet orange chicken (they actuallyonly have spicy orange chicken on their menu, but always take care of me and make it without any of the spiciness), sesame chicken, and my all-time favorite, pork fried rice, which I can't find anywhere else. Not that I'd want to. The location is great for us, it's about three minutes away and so easy to order ahead and pick up and then we have an amazing lunch or dinner. Even my four-year-old daughter loves it. When we drive up she starts yelling "rice! rice! rice! rice!" I've never received a bad order, not once. I am so glad that they're there! /

Its a nice little Chinese buffet, I love that it’s family owned. Very cozy.

The food was perfect as always and the service was fantastic too! My favorite thing is the pineapple chicken. This is one of favorite restaurants and EVERYTHING I've tried has been phenomenal!

It’s a Christmas tradition of ours, we like this place and the staff too!

Stopped for lunch for the first time yesterday while out running errands. We were very happy to find that the food was amazing! It was all hot, fresh, and delicious!!! We did not try the salad/dessert bar. Maybe next time, because we will definitely be going back!!!

Perfect place can’t wait to go back again

It's a quiet Thursday evening during the snow. We were the only people in the restaurant My wife, 10 year old, and I feel that the food here is the best Chinese we have had in a long while. We will be back.

Smaller buffet but let me tell you: everything is hot, fresh, filled, refilled and delicious! And what they offer is well balanced from appetizers to soups to main entrees and unique desserts. The price is right making it worth the drive from the Coralville/North Liberty area.

Decent food at a great price!

They have a good variety of food and I usually can't get enough. The atmosphere is quite and the employees are very nice! I look forward to eating here when im in town

I showed up around 8:30pm on a Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised at the cheerful greeting by the owners' 14yr old son. He was polite and quick to get my beverage on the table. The food was hot and delicious. Though the selections weren't as large as some other buffets that I have visited, there was plenty for me to choose from. At $9.99, I felt I got more than my money's worth. This was a short walk from the Microtel next door.....and the Dairy Queen was next door, too. I liked it so much that I came back in on Sunday.

This place is awesome, me and my girlfriend went on a Sunday about an hour before they closed and still found a great selection of fresh food on the buffet. Not only is it a cheap place to get lots of good food but the people are friendly and offer good customer service. I also really enjoyed the endless crab rangoons "i think i had like 12," and my girlfriend really liked the fried biscuits, sesame chicken, and the fact that they have a good dessert section on the buffet.

Long story short we found a great new place to go to and plan on going again tonight!

We have been eating here for over 10 years. We love the food we love the wonderfully friendly servers. We go 1-3 times a month and they remember what we drink and what we love most on the buffet. It's a great quiet casual place to take your family!!

Ordered Steamed Dumplings and Chicken Teriyaki appetizers with Sweet and Sour Chicken and Happy Family Combo dinners. Ordered through Grubhub and was skeptical, but everything showed up hot and delicious, it was literally perfect. Ordering again as we speak actually lol
