I'm in the process of selling my 3rd home using FSBOHomes and it just plain works. If you're willing to put in the small amount of effort that it takes to answer questions about your home and schedule your own showings, there is no reason not to save a ton on realtor commissions and just use FSBO. I've had wonderful success all 3 times. The online communication and offer system is kind and is very easy for the seller AND, importantly, a buyer who also doesn't want to use a realtor. The staff there takes care of all the things that could be scary or confusing about a real estate transaction and is always there to answer questions, and everybody from the "agents", to the inspectors and photographers are just super nice and helpful people. For the sake of your own pocketbook, just use FSBO and forget about the wildcard of a realtor. Your cousin's friend's aunt will get over it if you don't use her to list, but she will contact you via your FSBO listing and send you postcards trying to tell you FSBO doesn't work as well as a realtor. She's lying, FSBOHomes works better.

Very professional and saved us money on the whole process. We actually liked showing our home to people. We could answer their questions outright while they were going through our home. Happy to give a good review for FSBOHOMES of Cedar Rapids. Having sold two other houses on my own, this was the way to go. I had lots of questions of course which were thoroughly answered by Mike. Mike was available through the whole process and very encouraging. FSBO does so much for so little. At 3.5% I would have been paying upwards of $12,000 to sell my house. For $2,000 they took pictures, inspected the house and provided an appraisal. Signs were given and legal help was also a part of the package. I showed the house on my schedule and was able to work with the people who ended up buying it. They provided a meeting space and helped write up the contracts. Show the home on your time, have help with the paperwork, a great communication point for people looking at your home in their website and legal assistance for the paperwork for $2,000. You can do this! I can't commend them to you enough.
