If you want a reliable and honest mechanic Rex and his team do not disappoint at all. Very honest people who will treat you right. The prices are not crazy either. They will never try to upsell you for anything you do not need. Nothing but respect for those guys. Very old school also which is a good thing. I'm just not sure where I'll go once he retires.

My husband and I have trusted Rex and RPM since we moved to Cedar Rapids 40 years ago. He’s been our main source of repair for our Mazda GLC, Volkswagen Jetta, Mini Copperman, and several versions of Jeep Grand Cherokee. He has always been straightforward with us on repairs, and never mislead us. Even telling us when to sell a car because the ongoing upkeep over the value of the car. We recommend RPM to all our friends.

My brother sent me to then, and hands down the best auto repair shop in the CR surrounding area. Customer care is 💯 they make sure you ride away satisfied and your car problems gone.

Absolutely the best in town! From simple oil changes to complete engine replacements they are the best! The only downside is they don't charge enough for their great service.

My car is about 10 years old and coming up on 100,000 miles, so it has had the need for quite a few things in this past year. Rex and his crew have been fantastic. The cost has been incredibly reasonable and their work has been impeccable. They were even able to find the clicking sound the tire area was making...my OCD was driving my insane! Also, they don’t try to sell you on things that aren’t needed. We will be forever customers! Thanks RPM crew!

My Dad had recommended them to me, after a brake line had popped on my Wife's Expedition. I used to be a mechanic, so it pains me to take vehicles to someone to have them worked on. They were upfront and honest, and very reasonable with their prices. I had called some other shops around town and I got an ear full of BS and a ridiculous quote, not with RPM. Even when the job required more work than anticipated they called me, told me what was wrong and the fix. They were still cheaper with the extra work they had to do than anyone else I called. They even went the extra step and welded an exhaust hanger that had broken, that I was not privy to. Even as someone who knows what their doing its nice to have a good place to take your car when you cant do the work. I'd absolutely recommend these guys to anyone that needs work done on their car, and wont hesitate to send future work to them.

You have to find an auto repair shop that has staff with phenomenal mechanical skill sets, charges a fair price and MOST important, can be trusted in their diagnostic analysis of what's wrong with your car! My immediate and extended family all go to RPM Automotive because they are the best in all three categories in the metro area.

This is the only place I go when my car needs work. They do great work, the pricing is very fair, they don't try to sell you on any bs like the dealerships and other shops do, and in general they're pretty no-nonsense.

I had been struggling for over a month trying to figure out what was going on with my car. Even the dealership couldn't figure it out. It took RPM no time at all to figure it out. They also didn't charge me an arm and a leg to fix it.
