The thing I like most about Uptown is I never feel judged, confused, or like I'm a bother. Instead the staff are great at explaining what they are doing, how to improve your dental care, and are ready to talk about your concerns. Even during a cleaning they check in with you and care about your comfort. If you have anxiety about the dentist I really recommend them. It's the first time in my adult life I've been going every 6 months like I'm supposed to because I don't absolutely dread going anymore.

The office staff is so welcoming when you arrive! It’s such a calming space. Dr Lenz is so awesome…and Sara, the hygienist, is so nice I feel like I’ve known them for a long time! I’ve never been one to fear the process, but if I did, I would recommend this office to anyone!

I just had my first visit as a new patient. Other than a few expected bumps in the road getting transferred to a new practice, I was very please. I was welcomed, treated with respect as a patient, and Dr. Matt was very good at explaining everything required as well as my options. I'm glad I made the move!

Dr Matt is fantastic! He is gentle and cares greatly for his patients. I would highly recommend him. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcomed and comfortable.

Dr. Joe and his staff have their patients' comfort and experience at the forefront of everything they do. From the moment you walk in the front door, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. If you are not receiving your dental care here, you should be!

Super friendly and helpful staff, and I got the most thorough cleaning I’ve ever received in my life. The lady I had took her time and my teeth now look better than they ever have. Can’t recommend them enough.

My sister has dementia and I take her to Uptown Dental. Everyone is so welcoming and her hygienist explains things so well and let's her know her every move ahead of time to make my sister comfortable. This is such a blessing!

Dr. Joe and the crew at Uptown Dental have taken care of me for about a decade. I moved out of state a while ago and had some dental work I needed done. I drove a 9 hour round trip to see Dr. Joe. He's a great dentist. As far as I can tell, he does his work the right way. Very sensitive to your comfort. Transparent. There are dentists where I live now, but I'll keep visiting Dr. Joe. His coworkers are really great too. They are a tight team, and everyone has input as to the best approach, in my experience.

If I could give them more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! There is not one staff member in this office who isn't absolutely amazing! They are kind, caring, and always going above and beyond for the care of their patients. My kids and I have seen Dr. Joe for several years but we had an opportunity to meet Dr. Matt last week and my impression of him was just as great as everyone else we have encountered there. My son has TERRIBLE anxiety when it comes to doctors/dentists and they have made the experiences for him so comforting and less scary! I appreciate them all more than they know!

Uptown Dental is amazing. The place is new and very clean. All equipment is state of the art. Staff is amazing. Dr Joe Lenz is amazing and so friendly. I had an emergency issue and they worked me into their schedule and got me fixed up. I travel a town for work and that means the world to me, especially when in pain. Highly recommend.

I had a dental emergency on a day that they were closed. The dentist came in and did an amazing job fixing my teeth. Not only that, but he was super nice and pleasant. I truly appreciated him coming in! 10/10 would recommend!

Uptown Dental is the best. From my autistic teenager to my giggling wiggly 10 year old. These people make the experience easy. Even on the tooth pulling days, I know my family is in good hands. Great staff and service. The kindness these people have is so refreshing . 10 out of 10.
I was able to have my front teeth 3D printed for cosmetic reasons. To fix work from when I was younger. I was amazed they were custom done same day and have held up perfectly for over 7 years. There is a trust, no matter if it's a simple cleaning or some hard work. I know it's going to be done with care and done right.

Uptown Dental is such a nice facility with top notch equipment and staff. The staff is always so friendly, professional, and gentle with their work. And Dr. Joe is the best!!

Just moved to Cedar Rapids from Kansas City and was nervous about switching to a new dentist. I was amazed at how much I loved my experience at Uptown Dental! The office is very updated and modern. The front desk staff is friendly and welcoming. Everyone is on time and the process flows smoothly. Leah and Dr Mueller are the best hygienist and dentist I’ve ever had! They are both fun, genuine, and caring. They make the appointment very enjoyable!

Previous dentist changed their insurance practice, sending me on the hunt for a new dentist. Everyone at Uptown Dental was so friendly and helpful. It was a great experience for myself and my children. If you are looking to switch, or a new place, this is the one. They are all really wonderful!!!
