Our kids have been attending St. Joseph's for 10 years. We have continually been impressed by the small class sizes, family environment, and overall education they receive. St. Joe's teachers and staff are dedicated to making our kids feel safe, comfortable, and nurtured and are always finding new was to make learning fun.

The staff at St. Joseph Catholic School is kind and patient, willing to work with each of my children until the child is comfortable with the material presented: be it academic, spiritual, or emotional. My kids' attendance at St. Joseph has given them a deeper understanding of their faith and allows them to celebrate it on a daily basis with like-minded families. My children bring that Catholic message home from school each and every day, teaching me the virtues of our faith. That knowledge has influenced how our family operates, both at home and in a world where decisions seem more focused on individual needs and less on those of our community.

When my husband and I chose St. Joseph Catholic School nearly eleven years ago, I had no idea how much that decision would alter the fabric of our family. The community was immediately welcoming and I soon found myself inspired to become more involved in the school and in the parish. Along with my children, my husband and I have grown in understanding of our faith and place in the greater community of our parish. We came just for preschool and stayed because St. Joseph School became our family.

I have 2 children that have attended St. Joe's for 6 years. What the school lacks in aesthetic they more than make up for through their teachers, welcoming atmosphere and curriculum. Every student is known by name by all staff. Small class sizes provide great face time for the students with their teachers. They offer Spanish starting in preschool. The music program is also well supported at school and many kids get involved. Lunches are good too!

My son feels safe at St, Joseph’s. He gets lots of personal attention. This has given him great confidence. I know he will be ready for high school (Xavier). The catholic school is an awesome family atmosphere. Thank you to all the staff at the school.

I have had three children at St. Joseph's Catholic School and they have all been highly successful. There is a great parent community as well as staff. The staff is highly invested in your child's development and success. I know this because they will work with me any time my child is doing well or needing some assistance. I love St Joseph's.

Our children love attending St. Joseph school! Every day they come home happy and full of stories about their day: daily classes, weekly classes like Spanish, technology, library, school wide celebrations, the school musical, field trips, etc., etc. There is never a dull day!

As a parent I appreciate that their teachers truly know them and care about them; this is something that I feel is a direct result of the small class sizes and the individualized attention all students receive at St. Joseph. Whenever I have a question or concern, their teachers and the Main Office staff are always quick to respond. I know my children are in great hands, and that is a priceless feeling. Tuition is a sacrifice that we have to budget for, but it's one we've never once regretted making as the well-being and growth (spiritually, intellectually, socially) of our children makes it all worth it.

St Joseph's is a great community based school that our kids enjoy. With preschool through 8th grade and small class sizes it is nice to keep kids in 1 school up to high school. Teachers and kids enjoy the kind and open learning atmosphere.

Our kids are taken care of in so many ways at St. Joe’s- not just academically. The secretary knows everyone and makes them feel welcome each day. The teachers in the older grades know the younger kids’ names. The guidance counselor takes time out of her day to talk with kids whenever they need it- not just when it’s convenient for her. There’s no doubt our boys are challenged academically, but they are also challenged to be good human beings who reflect the values of St. Joseph each and every day.

St. Joseph has been a great community where our family can go to church and have a school that is connected with the parish. The #1 reason we chose St. Joseph is it's a school that starts and ends its day helping everyone live the Gospel. Students attend Mass weekly and each grade rotates serving at Mass where students are involved as altar servers, lectors, and cantors. Fr. Dave and the deacons also visit classrooms throughout the year. It's a PreK-8 school which has allowed our children to be at the same school for a longer period of time. The overall academic test scores are high which prepares students for high school and beyond. There are also a variety of opportunities for students to gain leadership skills, and be involved in band, choir, and athletics.

To me, a Catholic education at St. Joseph Catholic School means my child will receive outstanding academic instruction and be surrounded by a value system that reinforces what we instill at home. The academics at many schools are a given, and St. Joseph really is one of the top based on its students’ achievements. But to be able to give my child an environment that will develop in her a strength like no other to prepare her for all challenges is something where St. Joseph excels.

I recently heard a quote that really sums this sense of developing the whole person--mind, body, and soul. Plato said something like, ‘The first and best conqueror is that of self.’ We need to know who we are and what we stand for to effectively go out in the world to meet its challenges. Teaching values at home and knowing that they are expanded upon in the classroom and modeled in the hallways at school allows children to better understand who they are and what they stand for when faced with all kinds of situations and messages.

Whether it’s personal or professional, we as adults are faced with all kinds of decisions that require us to respond in intellectual, physical, and emotional ways, sometimes all three ways tied together. These decisions ultimately affect not only ourselves but expand to others as well. An education at St. Joseph Catholic School through everyday practices in its smaller school setting prepares students for being true to themselves, giving them a sense of grounding and order to then free them to be themselves and understand their impact on others as well. That’s what a Catholic education is about and that’s what St. Joseph models.

Wonderful school, with excellent staff and a great community. My children have attended St. Joe’s, with our oldest now in High School. We have met some tremendous teachers who have had a profoundly positive impact on our children’s faith and education.
