Pizza Ranch

No matter how many times I come here, I’m still surprised at how a restaurant specializing in pizza is famous for their fried chicken.

I was lucky to dine when they came out with some freshly fried chicken. It was mostly chicken thighs and I only had one, but the chicken was golden-brown and crispy on the outside and hot, tender, and juicy on the inside. A textbook example of excellent chicken.

Some other great choices from the buffet included veggie pizza, sausage and mushroom pizza, and bacon jalapeño cheese bread. To me, each of these entrees (and appetizer) were examples why Pizza Ranch is so successful.

However, I couldn’t say the same about their fried fish. It looked good but the breading was kind of thick and the fish tasted a little dry. And the salad was about what you’d expect from a buffet.

The desserts, on the other hand, were very tasty. Particularly the cookie pizza and the blueberry pizza. I got lucky enough to get a couple fresh pieces from the former fresh out of the oven; buttery, soft, and warm with plenty of chocolate chips.

The blueberry pizza was just as delicious. I can see why so many people enjoy this dessert.

I definitely got my fill at the Pizza Ranch buffet. You can guarantee there will be a next time for me.

This location was very nice and clean. The food was regularly replenished and delicious. I enjoyed the chicken, cactus bread, cookie, and cheese sticks. I’m glad they were are all regularly replenished because I got seconds, thirds, and fourths :)

Great pizza ranch that makes good food. They even have a fun room the kids love. They now offer e take home cups for drinks for $.79.

Don’t try calling them they never answer. If you want to contact them or reserve their party room do it online or just stop by.

GREAT experience!! From the moment we walked in, to the minute we walked out. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious! The arcade was fun also, great value and the machines were easy and fun to use. The staff inside the arcade was also very accommodating and friendly. Great experience all around!

The service was with a smile and truly courteous. The food tasted good. The game room was fun for the kids. I enjoyed my time with family in this atmosphere. Will definitely return and would recommend.

This was our first trip to this location. Food at Pizza Ranch is always good, especially dessert pizza and chocolate chip cookie and this was no exception. Very clean and ample parking. It seems like a small thing, but there is also good quality toilet paper! Staff is very friendly. If you love Pizza Ranch, you must visit this one!

Decent buffet with variety of salad, pizza, chicken, sides, and desserts. The soft serve machine is a nice finish, and the soft drink variety is good, including healthier options (e.g. vitamin water, unsweetened tea, etc.). The staff are always friendly, and do a decent job keeping the tables cleared.

My family and I dined in at this establishment recently and I was convicted to write a review. Not only was the food good (as usual), the service was excellent and we were super impressed to see a Bible verse written on the chalkboard behind the counter and worship music playing!!! When we left a man (possibly the owner?) told us to have a blessed day. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you for openly displaying your beliefs!! It’s rare these days (at least in that direction) and we are big fans!!

I didn't know what to expect, but my friend from MD recommended it. Reminded me of some pizza huts that have the buffet... but then they have this amazing fried chicken! So perfectly crisp and delicious skin with tender meat underneath! Finished with a dollop of ice cream, a tiny bit of chocolate chip cookie and a sliver of the blueberry looking pizza dessert... had to go back for the rest of that blueberry pizza dessert thing... the crust was bringing this amazing crunch mixed with the ice cream... Mmm! Mmm! Good! My poor body didn't eat the next day and struggled through dinner, but that was delicious!

We had an amazing time at Pizza Ranch! The food was really good, the games were a lot of fun, from the young to the old we all laughed and had a grand time! Definitely recommend corralling the kids on down to the ranch. My one criticism is that Gluten free pizzas should be included in the buffet price, I appreciate that it's even offered, but it's not my fault I have a specific dietary restriction, and I refuse to pay extra for something I feel should be included, it's already hard enough being GF and dining out, there's no need to rip us off too. Salad bar for me, no problem.

The pizza Ranch in Marion is fabulous, compared to the CR one! The night we came to the Marion PR, we received good service & great food. They came frequently to take our used dishes. Tables were cleaned off. No stacked dishes on tables, as I have read in other reviews. Either things have really improved or we were there on great night! They had good, fresh food, clean dishes, silverware & cups and the place is clean. The service was excellent. Everything was really great. We had a good time with our grandson, eating there & playing in the game room! We plan to come to THIS Pizza Ranch from now on, every time we decide to go a Pizza Ranch. We live in NW Cedar Rapids, but due to the bad conditions at the one close to us, (explained below), we prefer to eat where things are kept clean & service is better,
(unlike the Pizza Ranch on the SW side of CR):

We will NO LONGER be frequenting that one because the food runs out regularly & takes forever to get replaced. It's DIRTY in the Cedar Rapids Pizza Ranch restaurant. Tables are dirty. Last time we were there, there were food particles on all the plates (& there have been at other times, too), smudged/dirty silverware & filthy cups. I pointed that out to the evening manager. They gave us more DIRTY cups to use. We had to wash our dishes in the bathroom b4 we used them! Makes me REALLY WONDER about the FOOD! Later, the manager or supervisor, (whatever he was), came to me & said, "We found out that the dishwasher is almost out of soap. That's why all the dishes weren't cleaned." GROSS...THEY COULDN'T SEE THAT, THEMSELVES? I HAD TO POINT OUT HOW DIRTY EVERYTHING WAS? THAT'S RIDIC & NASTY!
It also doesn't explain WHY there are almost always at least a small amount of food particles on the plates everyone serve been there. We SHOULD have just left, but the small kids wanted to eat there & go to the play room, so we stayed that one last time. From now on, WE WILL DRIVE TO THE MARION PIZZA RANCH TO EAT WHERE THINGS WERE CLEAN & SERVICE WAS GREAT for us! THANK YOU, MARION! Please, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Pizza Ranch is my first job and I've been working here at this location since October 31st, 2020. I have to say I've learned quite a bit from working here. I've learned to socialize with people, serve others, and clean. There are going to be times when complaints come in but it makes me and my coworkers better people. I love my guests because they will always make certain that I'm a hard worker.

Unfortunately, I'll be leaving in mid-July to head to Dubuque for Bible College. I have to do the will of God for others through the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The plan I have is to go to Emmaus Bible College to pursue Pastoral Ministry and Secondary Education will accomplish God's will.

I'm not leaving Pizza Ranch quite yet because I plan to transfer from Marion to Dubuque Pizza Ranch. I will never forget the impact the guest has had on me when I was 15 years old to now almost 20 years old. I hope this review brings a smile to somebody's face because that is the goal I always have to give them a legendary experience. Thank you for reading and see you around at Pizza Ranch.

Today I went to pizza ranch with my family and everything was really good. Also, Jareth was on top of everything. He wasn’t really really good worker the whole time.

Glad the ranch got better again. Was great right away. Then took a HUGE dive. Didn't got for along time. It's back on top thanks to Liz in my opinion. She's great at what she does!!!!! Don't let her leave!!!
