New Covenant Bible Church

When I first moved to Cedar Rapids I “church shopped” for a few months. I gave New Covenant a try and felt so welcomed and cared about. As I was trying out other churches I found myself going to a different church, then swinging back to New Covenant for the adult Bible classes because I felt so welcomed despite not knowing anyone.

Fast forward 17 years and I’m still at New Covenant :) There is still that same welcoming vibe- but there’s so much more. The worship music is amazing, the Pastoral staff do such a great job preaching and facilitating all the different ministries at church, and the children’s programming is excellent (I’ve got 4 kids who attend so I speak from experience) :)

This is our home church and we are glad to call it that! My husband and I love it, as do our kids. They have a wonderful children's ministry and it's fun to see our kids learn more each week about Christ, just like we do!

Such an amazing place to worship our good Lord! A very non-judgmental, welcoming and loving church!

Come to the friendliest church in town! You will be welcomed in the parking lot, and the front doors; then you can grab yourself a hot cup of coffee or tea on "Main Street," to take in and experience the most profound worship songs with a church body of believers before hearing a very relevant message of God's word.

Spectacular Church. The praise & worship is lovely, lots of phenomenal and glorifying songs. The pastor (Jay) is young but so humble and knowledgeable. I love his messages. My wife and I are looking to get connected with groups, and begin volunteering on the weekends. Highly recommend!

Went to my 1st service there on Christmas Eve.
I was delighted to see Jesus as the focus of the message
I liked how we all got small candles at the end and reminded how the light of God's Son was the light living in us, and how this brilliant, small candle was explained as the light which overcame the darkness .Who of course is Jesus .
I was Blessed, and encouraged in my personal walk with the Lord .

Great atmosphere. Very welcoming. Teaching was awesome. Worship was good...the crowd wasn't as engaged in it as I'm used to but the worship leaders heart was powerful.

The New Covenant Bible Church web site states that its purpose as "to honor God as a family of growing disciples." My experience has been that this church community lives out its purpose well. There are ample opportunities to participate in spiritually nourishing activities such as large group worship services, biblical teaching, weekly small groups, and mentoring. There are also many opportunities to invest back into the church community through volunteering. I really enjoy the library, and the volunteer-run cafe is a great place to chat with a friend. I was glad to hear that all profits from the cafe are donated to both local and world charities. The Cedar Rapids area is fortunate to have many strong church communities, including New Covenant.

Thank you to all the members of your church who came to our home to serve your neighbor. A truely incredible group of people. Some didn't even have power in their own homes but they all gave their time and talents to serve others. It was a true miracle you came to our home and helped clean up our trees and fence. New Covenant Bible Church is a very healthy church. Our family’s first Sunday (our first month in Cedar Rapids) the greeter walked us to the nursery for our child, then walked us over to meet the Executive Pastor where I learned about men’s ministry. Within a few months we were attending a small group and other ministries, which is where we have made lifelong friends. The more I get involved and learn about the church the more I am impressed with the character and integrity of its leadership.

Again everybody out here is really good people as well as they are big supporters of hope CDA or hope community development association which is a nonprofit based transitional living transitional living for men That are either went down the wrong path or just fresh out of prison and what it does is gives There's an opportunity to learn a skill and become employable in the regular workforce as well as it provides housing For the men while they live and work at hope community development association and this church is a big supporter of it and for that my heart goes out to them as well they preach the truth

I have never had anything but great interactions with the people at New Covenant. Not only is the entire staff (that I've met) generous and sincere, but that attitude seems to permeate the entire congregation and group of volunteers any time I've been there. I've got nothing but love for New Covenant (and I work at another church in town).

The message today was awesome and I actually understood what I was being told. Pastor explained the gardener, vine and branches in a way I had not understood before. Can't wait to go back! The worship team was wonderful also!!

The beat church in the area. Pastor Jay speaks the truth and reads from the Bible. This church is like family. Everyone is friendly and kind.

Real people connecting to a real Savior. Great preaching, inspiring music and friendly people young and old. At NCBC, we pursue God, pursue others, and practice His ways. Hope to meet you here soon.
