A wonderful experience. We were on the road and stopped here to wait out the storm. Bakery is amazing. Hazelnut coffee is out of this world. Huge selection of delicious lunch options too. Highly recommend!

This has become my go-to for meeting friends from Iowa City or Cedar Rapids. The food is very good, and they take gluten free seriously. Good tea and coffee options, and a beautiful and delicious dessert selection. Have also found good Iowa themed gifts there. Staff is outstanding! Feels like you’re in your friend’s mom’s kitchen. Very friendly and in the 10+ times I’ve been there in the last year, always an excellent experience.

Such a cute and welcoming place! I went here with a group of girls to have lunch. Staff was very friendly. I had the Skinny Ginny and a house coffee. Everything was delicious! I will definitely be back! Place gets very busy, so you might want to make a reservation!

A great spot to go in Swisher. We were in Amana and drove to Java house for some breakfast and coffee. Such a treat. The baristas were nice and friendly. They had good hot breakfast options, pastries, and ice cream.

The food here is very good. The coleslaw was flavorful with just the right amount of vinegar. The turkey, bacon, and cheddar was on toasted bread which makes all the difference. It also came with veggie straws which I don't care for. The service was pleasant and my food came quickly. The prices were ok, not high but not low either, pretty average. The latte was well made and very hot which was excellent. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a small town vibe with very nice people and delicious food.

Stopped in to buy a Deneen Pottery coffee mug but found they don't have any in stock. Bummer. The employees are really friendly. The turkey sandwich was delicious as was the fresh fruit! This is a very fun environment for dining.

I had the fruit salad and brisket sandwich. Both were delicious! The fruit was ripe and fresh cut. We also shared a piece of the chocolate cake between three of us and still had leftovers! It was a super generous helping and very decadent.

The atmosphere is quaint and fun, with beautiful light fixtures.

What a gem! If you are anywhere near here, be sure you stop by! Food and coffee are absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful. I live in a large city and it was the best coffee shop I have been to in a long time.

All I can say is WOW! I had never heard of this absolute gem of a place. A friend told me about it and took me here. Simply amazing food. Everything was so unbelievably fresh. They have desserts including ice cream. They also have coffee drinks! I had a chai tea smoothie that was delicious! Try their fresh fruit side, it's so good. I am eager to come back here as soon as I can and to tell everyone I know about this place. I also love the decor!

2022 update- still 5 stars! Great food and even greater staff. Outdoor seating is available in season.

Delicious food! Had the Turkey-In-The-Garden and Chicken Noodle soup, my mom had the Made-Rite with Pasta Salad and said that was great too!

I'm a picky eater, and I can say this place is a hidden gem! Great atmosphere, and the food is phenomenal! Cooked to perfection every time.

Food is awesome! But the desserts… so so yummy!

Such a tasty place to come and eat! I’m especially fond of their pasta salad. As quoted by the consumer of the sandwich: “consuming at this location made stomach big happy.”

Such a great pit stop worth the detour. Lovely staff and a nice selection of coffee, treats, beer, wine, etc.

Biscuits and gravy were good. Hazelnut latte (seasonal) was good. A little sweeter than I would like but I expected it based on the description. Atmosphere is really cool, staff was friendly.

Working my way through the menu, patty melt didn't disappoint. Always a great lunch, had to pass on dessert this trip.

Amazing atmosphere at this CoffeeShop/cafe. They also have ice cream and food but did not try any this time. It looked amazing though.
