Balster Pediatric Dentistry

Highly recommend! The entire team from the front desk to the nurses were super friendly and made us feel welcomed! Dr. Balster had great energy and was great with my kiddo! Looking forward to continuing dental care here!

My 3 year old had his first visit to the dentist today and it couldn’t have gone better. The office girls were friendly and so kind. The huge trust did a good job and gave him choices for the tooth paste. She was patient while he took forever to choose. She showed him how the water squirted worked and switched to a cloth to wipe when the suction scared him. Dr. Blaster was also patient and kind. He was quick and efficient. There was an older boy in the chair next to us and he had a conversation about AP history with him and then came and related well to my three year old. We love this office and we are looking forward to coming back in 6 months

Dr. Beth and her entire staff are absolutely phenomenal. I needed to get an Afghan family's children in for a dental exam and nobody would accept the Medicaid insurance they carried. Dr. Beth went ahead and saw the children and one of them needs quite a bit of work done. We would of been waiting MONTHS to get in with the University. Now, the child will receive the care they need in a timely manner. Dr. Beth's humanity and kindness is a class act that you don't see much of these days. For her, it's not the payment that matters but the payoff in helping others.

We finally found a dentist our girls LOVE! Dr. Beth has been so generous and kind. She even helped one of our daughters stop sucking her fingers. We've received excellent care from the entire staff. Highly recommend them even for the most apprehensive child.

Our kids love going to the dentist!! They love the new office! Dr Erik is fabulous as is the entire staff. Our son needed a filling and I was amazed at how well it went. Dr Erik kept him calm and was so fast. It calmed this nervous mama’s heart!! We recommend Balster Peds Dentistry to everyone!!!!!

Dr. Eric was my kids dentist for nearly 20 years and I have only good things to say about him and his team. I most appreciate the welcoming environment & willingness to adapt to patients individual needs. Excellent care here!!

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! My daughter had an appointment scheduled on a school day when she was taking her Iowa assessments. I called that morning and asked if we could be 10-15 min late, or if we had to reschedule. They told me it was fine and got us right in when we arrived...and were very understanding about my daughter's test. She actually doesn't mind going to the dentist and we always leave happy!

Amazing staff and great with kids! Dr. Balster is wonderful and patient with my little girl. Highly recommend coming here! My girl had to have a spacer put in and caps over some molars. They were excellent with her.

Absolutely phenomenal, from the office staff & hygienists to Dr. Balster himself. They were utterly professional, and they make my kids feel completely at ease and they are extremely gentle with them. Everything about this office is geared towards children, which makes my daughters happy to be there. There's a playroom and tv in the waiting room, which my kids love, and there is a tv on the ceiling above every dental chair for the kids. Dr. Balster's office makes it easy to get my kids to want to go to the dentist. Thank you!

Love this dentist and his wife and I admire how they work together in the office. The kids love how he dresses and think his office is the coolest. The kids also loves how he is patient and gentle with them. Hands down the best pediatrician dentist in Iowa.

He helped my daughter with multiple cavities and a tooth extraction plus he let me be in the room with her to comfort her which was a huge bonus! Spacers and caps were put on and she’s doing better than ever!

Dr. Eric is great with our kids. Some love the dentist and some hate it and he does awesome with all of them. The best part is we can get all 3 kids in at the same time. It’s a huge time saver.

My 14 month old had a bad fall and knocked his front tooth badly out of place. They got us in right away and were so patient and kind to both myself and my son! We will definitely be taking our little man here again in the future!

Excellent with kids and scheduling. We have been going here for 7+ years and have never had any issue. Plus they have 3 chairs so all 3 of my kids can get in at that same time. How convenient!

It is a wonderful place for kids, especially if you have more than one. They work to book you appointments at the same time and in the same room. They are also patient and kind, even with kids with disabilities. We will always go here!

My son has been going here for awhile now and I am very happy with the service they provide considering my son gets easily nervous with the dentist. The dentist has shown a lot of patience with him.
