Want to try another thing that is uniquely Iowan? Get a tenderloin sandwich here at Joensy's. The large tenderloin sandwich is a beast of a meal, but they are fried fresh to order and just so perfect. Even tho the buns are large, the tenderloin dwarfs them. A little challenging to eat but well worth it! The criss cut fries here will forever be my favourite. I feel no one does them as well as Joensy's! The front staff are wonderful and can definitely help walk you through the menu if it's your first time.

We had the pork tenderloin sandwich that come in two sizes, small and large. Amazing sandwich! Fries were very crispy. Ice cream sundaes were vanilla ice cream base with chocolate/butterscotch/strawberry topping. Our waitress was wonderful! Very quick and the place is clean.

Joensys Restaurant is a great little mom and pop shop known fo it's pork tenderloin sandwiches. I stopped in and tried one for myself.
The sandwich was big, hanging out of the bun. The pork was tasty and juicy and fried perfectly. The French fries were nice and crispy too.
The people running the place are very friendly and had people coming in just to say hi as I was eating.
If you like a good tenderloin, you can't go wrong with Joensys. They also have Angus burgers, which is what I thought I was going to get, if you don't want pork

Friendly staff. Food was delicious! My husband is from Iowa and while driving thru we found this place. Our teens had the burgers and they said they were really good. Pork tenderloins come in 2 sizes...and do not be fooled but the term "small" because its basically large and jumbo for sizes lol. Criss cut fries and tots were both awesome too. Oh....and their prices are so low its ridiculous! Not sure how they can charge so little!

Went here with my brother sandwich was ginormous didn't expect that was very good service was awesome both waitress were very attentive and made us feel important. WILL go there again. Thanks to them the guest service and The food was awesome .

We love Jonesey's! Food is consistently good, and the staff is friendly and engaging. We are especially fond of their tenderloins, which are incredibly delicious! Always worth the drive!

I had Hot Roast Beef sandwich it came with mashed potatoes. Hubby had the chicken fried steak that came with mash potatoes and corn. The mashed potatoes were REAL not a dried mix. The bread is Texas bread.
My hot roast beef sandwich was daily special - for under $8.00 I got the sandwich and a drink. That is a bargain. I do not know of any other place from the east coast to here that has sandwiches for that price and a drink too. Also had the cheddar cheese bites they were great too. We come to Cedar Rapids once a year for the month of May to visit family. We will be back to Joensy's next year for sure. Thank you for great food at great prices. They have friendly staff and service is fast.

Awesome food, simple service. Great local spot, make sure to try the hot tenderloin plate. Think gravy...

Always love coming to visit home and eat a tenderloin! Came home to visit and came in and the tenderloin was delicious and Bonnie was extremely personable and friendly today!!!! Loved it! There are some hygienic/regular clean up with oil/grease/people that could be done but I won’t deduct stars for that. I just hope the owner or manager will work on that after reading the review! Thanks for the awesome food and experience today!

The tenderloin sandwich was soooo good. I had never had one but will definitely be coming back. Wifey & I shared a sandwich and took home leftovers.
