Young contractor, but treated well. Prices are alittle high but cost of doing local buisness and contributing to local economy. I like buisness with a handshake, and years of knowledge anf expierence to help with tackling those larger projects.

Great lumber.

Fred is one of the most unfriendly, unhelpful men. They have the highest prices of all the local lumber yards in the area. We spent over $30000 with him last year and he wouldn’t give us the 10% discount like he said he would. He was mad because we didn’t buy our complete house package with him while building our house. He expects you to pay thousands more with him to build your house or else he doesn’t want your business at all. Will never do business with them again. Malcom lumber in oscaloosa delivers free and quickly and beats Fred’s prices by far and they have the best customer service right along with Washington lumber. I would recommend those two places before I would go to Fairfield lumber.
