Wow! It doesn't get much better than this! Fresh roasted coffee, delicious pastries, friendly fast service. Nice atmosphere. Update — Visiting on 31 July 2023, and happy to see they have expanded their seating area and offerings.

Delicious coffee in a comfortable setting!

The roaster is right in the front of the cafe, and was surprisingly quiet! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the aroma of freshly roasted coffee.

They had a promotion offering a free cookie if you bike there and show them your helmet, which I thought was a great idea to promote safe cycling and cycling in general. There were no gluten free options so I didn't take advantage of the promo even though I'd biked there, but the coffee was great.

I had a great experience on my first visit to roasters. We actually ended up here because the coffee house we were going to closed at 3:00 p.m. I'm happy to report the roasters stays open till 6:00 p.m. which allowed us time to enjoy our coffee and visit. They have a great atmosphere, relaxed, clean and comfortable. I know just several other patrons reading and relaxing as well. The location I visited was in Hiawatha, but I definitely want to try out other roasters locations as well. Overall very pleased with my experience.

Loved it!! Tried the Fall Latte Flight of OG, Pumpkin Spice, S'mores, and Maple Cookie. Very good especially the Maple Cookie and S'mores. Would definitely go back again. Great service. Quick and friendly.

Was picking up food next door and decided to get a coffee… literally the best coffee I’ve ever had!!! When I ordered, they asked if I wanted it like the Starbucks drink and I said yes, but it was 1000x better than Starbucks. The worker was very nice as well. The shop was nice sized and looked like a good place to relax or work.

I think my mom and I just ate the best blueberry muffins ever. The Papa New Guinea beans are delicious as well. It’s a cute little place.

Nice place! My wife and I chose to come here after a 21-day "NO COFFEE" fast... it was a great treat! Friendly staff, good prices, tasty drinks and a great environment.

Amazing service and atmosphere! I've been visiting at this location for a couple of months now, and my order has never been wrong, despite modifications. Even for my siblings and friends who don't like coffee, the menu has options that they enjoy. An amazing place to enjoy a talk with friends, or simply grab a delicious coffee drink. Prices are reasonable, and the pastries are delicous too. What more could you want :)

Great local coffee store, they roast their own coffee and have a wide selection of roasts for everyone's tastes. The Hiawatha location has great atmosphere and service. I regularly get the drip/standard coffee and sometimes a breakfast sandwich.

Over the last couple weeks I, or some friends of mine, have been sampling the offerings this shop has to offer and I must say, they do not disappoint. The owner truly understands his coffee, how to source, and master roasts every bean to perfection. Understanding that each coffee has its own unique personality defined by it's region, soil, altitude, rain, and processing is an uncommon trait in many coffee houses these days. The staff is friendly and communicates the flavor profiles of each roast. Not to mention their food is delicious as well.
All in all, if you are looking for that traditional coffee house experience with staff that is truly passionate about what they do?.....Roasters is the place for you.

Good coffee and treats. Friendly staff. They used to have a cooler with other snacks and juice my kids love. They still have some but not quite as many options. Still a great place. My father is really picky on his coffee but enjoys them as well.

A lovely little place! The shop was beautifully decorated and the atmosphere was very welcoming.

I ordered a london fog and an apple scone.

The london fog was delicious and was made and served very fast. Plus, I saw them using actual tea and not just a london fog base so thats a bonus for me.

The scone was also delicious with a very good pastry to filling ratio. It also wasn't super dry and crumbly so that was nice to not have crumbs everywhere.

The employee that served me was also very nice and worked very fast :).

Overall, it's a 10/10 for me and I will definitely be back :].

Great coffee shop, especially if you like to buy your own freshly roasted beans. Coffee is excellent, with many drip choices available. All the common espresso drinks as well. Great treats like scones and cookies. Very friendly service every time. They also have a nice little rewards system which seems to give us a lot of deals. We buy our beans from here. They have a really good selection and all beans have their roast date labeled so you know it's fresh. Highly recommend.

Best coffee in Cedar Rapids. I'm not sure why it seems like every other coffee house here wants to burn their coffee. I definitely recommend stopping in on Tuesday for their Jamaican Me Crazy roast. I even buy a pound of those beans from them to keep my home stocked up. Their service is fantastic. I really have nothing bad to say about this place.

Edit: I do need to add one thing about this place. The restaurant itself is still outstanding to me, but there's a group of elderly customers who regularly come in and stay for a while. It's obvious they are in there frequently and they treat the restaurant like it is their home. I stopped counting the number of times I've seen one of them be rude to another customer.

In house bean roasting, great service, amazingly fresh coffee. Come in a Saturday morning and you will see the Barista knowing many of the customers drinks before the even walk up to the counter, that tells you something. Great to see an independent small business that does it all right. Best coffee in town and tied for the best in the CR area in my opinion, both independent.

Roasters is its own little community, with a lot of regulars who look forward to seeing each other to grab a drink and go, or to stay a while and chat. Of course, new visitors are always welcome and I appreciate how well the staff work to create a fun, receptive atmosphere.

The coffee selection is diverse. Throughout the morning and afternoon there are often six different brewed roasts ready to go: four choices hitting various levels of roast (light to dark), a flavored roast, and decaf. Their coffee beans are roasted inside the store, so sometimes you are treated to the smell of a in-process roast as you step out of your vehicle in the parking lot. Need some beans to take with you? You’ll have over a dozen choices, and they are happy to grind them for you. We also buy bags of fresh coffee beans as gifts for traveling friends.
