Sabula Castle Bed & Breakfast

Sharon was a great host and had outstanding parfait and pancakes for breakfast! The room was very spacious and had a great new years weekend trip! Very beautiful decorations from Panama and a great view out our window over the Mississippi River! Thank you Sabula Castle!

My adult son and I visited Sharon’s Sabula Castle on the Mississippi in July 2023 and enjoyed our stay greatly. Sharon was extremely hospitable and attentive, and is a very interesting person. She gave us good tips for local restaurants and bars and she makes a wonderful breakfast. Beds were comfy, rooms were clean and everything worked well and was easy. Thanks Sharon. Five stars - highly recommend if you are passing through.

We recently stayed at Sharon's bed and breakfast for two days, and we had a wonderful experience. Sharon was an outstanding host who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Her friendly and warm demeanor immediately put us at ease, and we felt like we were staying with a friend.
The cleanliness of the place was impeccable. The entire place was exclusively for our use, which added an extra layer of privacy and comfort to our stay. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious breakfast that Sharon prepared for us each morning. The aroma of the coffee brewing in the morning was simply heavenly and added an extra touch of warmth to our mornings.

If you want a wonderful getaway for the weekend The castle bed and breakfast is the place. right on the Mississippi river with a beautiful viewAnd great atmosphere. Sharon is a wonderful hostess and made us feel at home and she’s also a wonderful cook everything was delicious and she didn’t get mad when I spilled my juice on her beautiful table. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home. The castle is definitely a five star bed and breakfast all the way around. Princess Rhonda and I already booked another trip for December and we would highly recommend everyone to check this place out. A great location right opposite the Mississippi. Lovely olde worlde (which made this couple from London feel right at home) rooms, with air conditioning. An outstanding breakfast - French toast, bacon and a fruit parfait.

Stay of a lifetime! Accommodations were comfortable and cozy, clean and the views were stunning. The breakfast was delicious! This felt like our home away from home. Wake up early for the sunrise from the king room!

The Castle B & B was fabulous we had the house to ourselves it was definitely home away from home. Sharon was a wonderful innkeeper she made sure you were settled in suggesting places to visit. The breakfasts were delicious French toast pancakes bacon fruit parfaits coffee juice left full. We stayed in the King Room very roomy great view super clean. Glad we had the opportunity to stay and visit with you. Definitely take a walk to the campground and around cute town Sabula. Manny’s was great pizza , Kounty Kettle in Savanna local restaurant good reasonably priced food. Took a ride to Palisades State Park awesome a ride to Elizabeth. Have fun will return at a different season missed the fall colors by a few weeks.

This is a cute little island town. The bed and breakfast is a delightful find. The owner Sharon is so nice. It’s right across the street from the Mississippi River. There are swings and benches along the river to sit.

We came to sit on the river bank and enjoy the peace away from the Covid pandemic. What a beautiful time! It was ultra relaxing and refreshing. Sharon is a great host, leaving no need unmet. The castle is like an old friend giving you a huge hug. I highly recommend staying here.

Second time staying here. Sharon is very gracious and welcoming to her beautiful venue! Both the king and queen rooms are very spacious and have a beautiful view of the Mississippi River. Be treated like royalty at The Castle!

We stayed in a room with a king size bed. The room was large and very comfortable. All was very clean. We really enjoyed breakfast. Loved dining on the good dishes. Sharon was nice and gave us information on the area. I would return again.

My wife and I stayed here in the middle of November. Called at the last minute to make a reservation. Sharon the owner took care of it. We were the only ones staying at the time and had the entire home to ourselves. A great place just to get away from your norm. We stayed kinda the off season. Summer would be great to come back and do some fishing.

The Castle and Sharon are real gems. It was everything we look for in a bed and breakfast. However, the river's location just outside the door is a mind blower. We'll be back for some quiet and relaxing pampering. Gordon and Linda

Wonderful! So hospitable, very neat, beautiful view of the river while you eat breakfast or have coffee on the veranda. They’ve got lots of great local recommendations too for anyone unfamiliar with the location.

Just returned from a night at the Castle B & B in Sabula, Iowa. What a great experience. Overlooks the river, great hospitality and excellent food. Perfect place for families. Beautiful home and very well maintained.
