There is ample parking at this access to the Maquoketa River. The landing is a small sand beach, but it is a bit steep. It can be a challenge to get in and out of canoes and kayaks, especially if there is mud covering the sand.

Very steep take out. Sand hill, with strong current. Not ideal. Parking lot only here.
