This place was an oasis amidst defunct restaurants. We received excellent service, the ambiance was welcoming, the drinks were cold, and the food was delicious. Their fried pickle fries might be the best I've ever had. Great experience, all around.

Coming from a big city, I’ve always had plenty of choices for food. I haven’t always found that in Iowa. Whiteys is an exception. It’s a small town dinner worthy of being featured on TV. The food is incredible and I drive over 30 minutes to come here just for the steak sandwich. I feel like I’ve found gold in Iowa and I encourage everyone to visit. It’s right off the highway, easy parking, and worth the trip!

I love Whiteys! We were celebrating Coach Bunting's 1300+ victories by devouring a super pizza. What a great night for the Lions faithful!!! On to Fort Dodge tomorrow!!

Wonderful food! We had the homemade Alfredo w blackened chicken. It was great! Breaded hot wings. Great! Fried cod. Great! If you are looking for a laid back place to have a great meal and visit...this is your place !

Stopped in for late lunch and catch the Iowa football game. This was a pleasant surprise. More than bar food. Ruben, French dip, bacon blue cheese burger and shrimp alfredo are all recommended. The service was helpful and efficient. Will return. UPDATE: 11/22 Have eaten here several times since the original review. Food and service have been consistently good.

We had a family reunion. The server did a great job getting orders, keeping drinks filled, etc. Great food, kitchen was fast. Only problem is 5 hours from home ;)

Excellant food & service!! I can see why they are famous for their tenderloin!! It is awesome!! No grissel & loved the breading they use & BIG !! I took 1/2 home that will make 2 more sandwiches!! Prices very good to the portions!! We will be back!! This was our first time there!!

The food was excellent, ordered Tenderloin (which was HUGE)...and fries were awesome. Service was great (they were very busy). Also had Chicken Bacon Ranch Burger and for appetizers the mini tacos and fried pickles ...the food was great. SHOUT OUT to Cody (the cook).

Just took 45 Cedar Rapids Corvette Club members there for a dinner/social gathering tonight. The food was excellent and service was great considering most of us showed up at the same time. I don’t know how the kitchen and wait staff pulled it off but everyone in the group was pleased with how the evening went. Great job Whitey’s.

This place is very unassuming, I'm sure most people drive right past. I'm not a local, but this place makes you feel like one. Helpful server and the food was terrific. Outstanding and a must if you're driving through.

I love this place! Really nice bar, and on Hawkeye game days, they have specials on nachos and wings!!! (BBQ boneless are ridiculously delicious!!!)
