My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was even better than we had imagined! The hosts make you feel welcome immediately and the farm is every bit as peaceful and relaxing as it looks. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay. It's worth a special trip just to stay here!

If you are near this area, highly recommend you stay here instead of a hotel. We were so happy with our last minute decision to stay here!! We stayed in the Guest Barn house and it comfortably slept 5 of us (there was room for one more). The kids loved the barn like atmosphere and the farm life around us. The hosts/owners were very accommodating, and the breakfast was great! Plan a trip for a weekend stay! We loved it. The cats and chickens were an added bonus for my kids 😉

Wow what an incredible place to spend a few days. The homemade donuts we had our final day were among the best I've ever had. The accommodations were very nice for a farmhouse experience with plenty of animals to past the time with you.

I loved it here. We stayed 3 nights in the barn. Its beautiful and big. I loved the decorating. Beds are super comfy. The scenery outside is so beautiful with the feilds and rolling hills. Breakfast is amazing! I just can't say enough good things about this place. As everyone else has said....Dave and Donna are wonderful people, and make you feel like you've known them all your life. We are already planning another trip.

One of the best B&B's we've ever stayed at. Donna and Dave are very friendly welcoming hosts. Plenty of room in the Little House which has some very cool country style decorations. You won't be disappointed, I know we sure we're more than satisfied with our stay. Wait until you taste the delivered to your door breakfast. Superb! We've already booked our next stay in the Little Red Barn.

We loved our stay at The Little House on the Farm. Donna and Dave were very kind and friendly, yet also careful with social distancing. The surroundings are peaceful and gorgeous. The breakfast was delicious. The house was very cozy to stay in. Our little family had a great time!!!

This place is amazing. A little back story - I have stayed here for 8 weeks over the last 8 months. The location is excelllent for both Decorah (toppling Goliath release parties, Luther College and broom ball) and Waukon (St patty day parade and epic trout fishing). If you are going to be in the Driftless region, you could stay at the holiday inn down the street with a continental breakfast, but then you should have stayed home. If you want to actually stay in Iowa, on an amazing farm with home made breakfast every morning, don’t pass this place up.

Staying at the Little House on the Farm Bed and Breakfast exceeded every expectation of ours. We decided on an impromptu celebration of 6 years together on a Tuesday and called at 12 that day to see if they'd be able to accommodate us in "The Guest Barn", to which Donna responded with genuine warmth and enthusiasm. From the moment you pull up to the main house you are aware of a comfort that is with you throughout your stay. There are cows, views of the rolling green fields and trees of NE Iowa, a variety of birds, and little details set perfectly all around giving you a sense of simplicity that slows the body and mind and helps you relax.

Donna and Dave greeted us with smiles as soon as we pulled in. Donna then walked us around the barn and explained everything to us, pointing out the MANY items and amenities that were provided to us during our stay. I found myself saying, "oh! I need a _______" and my husband would say, "look, they have it here for us!" We had everything we needed to feel completely comfortable and were completely free from screens for a night. The perfect getaway for even the most technology obsessed.

My wife Sharon and I have stayed at B@B's all over the country. If you don't stay at this one for the rolling landscape farm setting or delicious breakfast you have to experience the clever repurposed decor of both the barn and cottage. Truly an original.

Very accommodating, called within a few days to see if they had an opening. They did. Called to we would be late for check-in, they said no problem. Rustic and cozy. We stayed in "The Little House" Breakfast was excellent.

We’ve been to many b&b’s this place is it, you can spend a day in Decorah, another day in McGregor/Prarie Du Chien, Red Wings north, Guttenberg/Elkader south, day but these people and this place is it, I want to go back just to spend the day talking to them about the barn,. Don’t pass it up, room for 5-6 people, you will not be disappointed, promise.
