Blueberry pancake Wednesday's are the best!

This is a lovely little diner with great food and unbeatable prices! We stopped in for breakfast on our roadtrip and a week later I'm still thinking about the veggie omelet I had. 🍳🥞

The pancakes are large and delicious. I had the stack of 2 plus bacon. I am planning to go back soon.

Best crispy hash browns EVER! I didn’t even ask for them extra crispy (like I usually do). Such a cute diner. Friendly staff. Friendly patrons (although I’m convinced everyone in Iowa says hi as you pass them by). Eggs were good. Coffee is excellent! I’m happy to have a little cafe to enjoy a decent breakfast on my work stay. I’ll be back!!!

Small town, home friendly, good food, great prices

This is the cafe you aren't sure if you should try but you really should. A true locals experience, very affordable, amazing cinnamon rolls, quality service in a place steeped in local history. This is unpretentious, good food at its best. It's not fancy. Go in. Sit at the counter. Soak it in and enjoy. And for godsakes, get a cinnamon roll.

The food is aleays amazing! And the owner is as well! My son just turned 3 and has been having some behavioral issues lately and Sandy the owner informed us that she had some toys in the back area he could play with. It was so nice to be able to keep him entertained to eat a meal while it was hot.

Great food excellent atmosphere, very good prices. I've traveled all around the world and there are very few gems that the home cooked meal matches people that work there. It's not fast food, it's like have a meal with a dear friend or family.
We visit S and D every time we visit Waukon. The quality of food is perfect Everytime.

Drove all morning from Wisconsin and Iowa to the S and D Cafe for a fantastic lunch and cherry cream pie dessert on Friday 6.15.18. The place was full when we entered about noon. This is a popular eatery and the food and service is so good it deserves a lot of business.

Quaint place! If you are looking for that small town restaurant that serves simple yet delicious food, this is the place. Breakfast is fantastic: huge portions, well prepared, plenty of bacon grease in the hash browns. The staff is very friendly, and happy to tell you about the happenings in Waukon. There is limited street parking, but the restaurant would fill up before you had to worry about that. There is a singles counter with stools, six booths, and a few tables for larger groups. A great place to eat!

Sandy the owner us such a sweet heart. The food is good and the conversarions better. i recomend visiting if your new to town or just swinging threw?

Breakfast was wonderful and so was the friendly, personal service by the owner and her staff. And did I mention the great prices??? I'll be visiting here again on my next visit to Waukon!
