Upper Iowa Resort & Rental

We have stayed at the Upper Iowa every summer since I was a kid! The owners are kind and accommodating. The campground is beautiful. The pool and the river are inviting on warm sunny days. It's one of our favorite places to camp!

Camped there last summer for a wk. One of the nicest campgrounds!! Beautiful scenery & loved the man made pond!! Was so relaxing! Owners are great peeps! Stay here if u get a chance❤

We’ve been seasonal campers for 2 years going on 3 years now. Everything about this campground is top notch from the effort the owners put into their business to the magnificent location of the beautiful Upper Iowa River valley. They keep the playgrounds neat and tidy and the restrooms are cleaned as they should be. The activities they coordinate during the camping season such as the Labor Day trick or treat weekend make it that much more special. Definitely 5 stars. Whether you’re a weekend camper or looking for a full season site check them out.

We have a permanent spot here. We keep going back because it is a beautiful and right on the river. The owners are very friendly. The park is always clean, bathrooms are always clean, dog friendly, and has its own beach. We love to kayak. It’s convenient as they will take you to the drop off and you end at the campground. I always look forward to camping season! It’s everything we want in a campground.

Great facility with awesome owners. Has everything you need for a great price point. I had all quiet and respectful neighbors. Owner went over and above to make sure I got where I needed to be. Cannot wait to return!

We have been permanent campers at Upper Iowa Resort for several years and love it! The resort is clean, pet friendly (dogs are on leash), and offers many opportunities to get away and experience the outdoors in a variety of ways. We enjoy the canoeing/kayaking with shuttles, as well as the large pond-like pool onsite. The sites are spacious in between sites and restrooms are clean. Best of all, Colton and Tessa are very friendly hosts that are hands-on as they live on the grounds.

Very nice place. The people are so helpful and great. The swimming pond is awesome to cool off in. I haven't tubed there yet but my family loves it here.

Very peaceful and pastoral setting in northeastern Iowa. The swimming beach is wonderful. While we enjoyed our campfire one evening, we watched the fireflies "lighting up." We visited during the week when it was less busy. We will plan another getaway to this lovely campground.

Amazing owners. We rented 6 kayaks from them and transport for a 10 mile river float. Very kind and nice place. Campground and ramp was clean and nice to get in and out of

This gem was worth the 4+ hour drive for us! The owners were kind and helpful, the grounds and facilities were clean and well kept and our family of 8 had a wonderful time canoeing. We will definitely return!

It was awesome. Close to where I had to work. The beach and pool was definitely good after a long hot day working.

Had such a blast in the pond swimming. The staff in the was super helpful. Love the convenience of the honor system for after hour purchases! Will definitely go again. Will worth the 3+ hr drive...beautiful scenery! Would love to visit in the fall!

Beautiful campground with cabins a huge pool and canor/kayak rentals. Amazing!

Had a wonderful stay even though it was million degrees outside! The bathrooms were some of the cleanest bathrooms I've seen while camping. The freshwater pool/pond was a refreshing way to cool off and toss a Frisbee around, also it had to be almost 10 feet deep! We did a gorgeous float down the river too, the shuttle service upstream and ending right at the resort made it super convenient. The staff, owner, and other camp goers were all very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend it as a camping destination!
