Burr Oak Hideaway

Best experience possible. Stunning cabin in an amazing location. My two buddies and I wanted a cozy getaway to unwind and relax and it was our first time here, and our first experience with Iowa Cabin Rentals. You can’t beat it for the price. The hot tub is a great amenity, and everything else was as expected. Rooms and beds were beyond comfortable as the cabin remained to our temperature specifications and did not get “stuffy.” We cannot wait to return and have already talked about our next stay at Burr Oaks.

We had a great relaxing time at the Burr Oak Hideaway! We love the Prairie Du Chien area, be sure to visit Eagles Landing winery and Eddies Irish Pub when you visit! The cabin was very clean and cozy with the fire stove going on our Valentines getaway. We look forward to returning here with our boys!

We really enjoyed this lovely place!! It was worth the cost. The hot tub is awesome, lots of nature sounds by the fire pit.

Clean and cozy. Attended by kind & polite owners. It is a getaway from the buzz of the city yet has WiFi and TV. Very pretty views.

Quiet, secluded, and reasonably priced. Close to the river and it’s activities but yet far enough away to retreat for a wonderful quiet getaway.

Wonderful cabin

Nice cabin in the woods. Fairly spacious. Good location. About 10 minutes from Effigy Mounds, 15 minutes from Marquette. Easy trip to Prairie du Chien. Lots of wildlife nearby.

A little disappointed in the pond.. no dock to fish from. Cabin could use a deep clean.

It was a bit dusty and a little worn down. The siding the for hot tub was falling off, soft spots in the floor, months of Dustin the top of the cabinet decorations (clearly seen from main floor and loft).

A beautiful spot but found it disappointing that burr oak cabin needs maintenance. Holes in deck and porch floors. Light bulbs burnt out. Grill was nearly unuseable. No where to put garbage. Ants in bathroom and kitchen. Its a nice spot just needs repairs and cleaned up.

Lovely rustic cabin nicely appointed but with many flaws. The lock on the front door is broken. This is a security issue. Many lightbulbs need to be replaced. The wall clock has a dead battery. Needs more eating utensils. The wrap around porches are great but there are broken floor boards. Another safety issue. Trash outside the porch.The gas grill has 2 burner igniters that do not work; we had to light it with a match and it was filthy. (just what do they clean for $75?) Did not use hot tub because of tree debris inside it. The top cover did not fit the bottom. The wind came up and blew it off during the night. We put it back on & placed a large rock on it to hold it down. The landscaping is atrocious. Huge thistles everywhere as well as weeds. Outside wooden doors to porch do not open easily. The owners of the property must be no where around. A real shame.
