Mount Hosmer Park

Gorgeous, well maintained park. Unbeatable views and photo opportunities. We've been coming here for decades. Beautiful tribute area to our veterans.

Nice little park for short, hilly walks and a beautiful view of the river. Armed services memorials were thoughtful.

Only drove up to the look out to tge river view. The road up there could be challenging to those afraid of heights and dropouts near the road edge. The road is a 2 way and narrow.
Otherwise, enjoyed the scenic view! We didn't go all the way to the top so I don't know what is up there.

We enjoyed a beautiful wedding here under the fall colors! The leaves were naturally falling like confetti.
There is a great shelter with tables for the pre and post ceremony drinks and appetizers.

Lots of room for kids to play in leaves and run around. Playground too.

Restrooms are one stall each for men and women.

Stunning views of the Mississippi River & surroundings below. We were so fortunate to have 2 eagles soar above us at the lookout ….very cool. Park is a short drive up a hill(safe,a little bit of turns, ). bathrooms available along with picnic area.

Beautiful lookout over the Ole' Miss from Lansing Ia. Picnic, shelter house, restrooms, playground at the top. Hiking trails as well.

First stop during our visit to Iowa and we were not disappointed. The overlook was spectacular with sweeping views of the river and surrounding countryside. Pavillion and picnic area at the top as well as a decent hiking and mountain biking trail system. Also, another added bonus, there is a WWI soldiers memorial at the park as well. Worth checking out, great place to spend a little extra time.

Even when the water is high, pool nine is still special.

Absolutely awesome views! The hill climb is a lot of fun on a motorcycle. Definitely a quick must see when in Lansing!

Beautiful overlook of the Mississippi. There was hiking trails as well, but I didnt have tennis shoes, we will be back.

Amazing views at the top. Offers a trail. The road up is curvy and not to wide. Worth the drive.

Stumbled upon this beautiful park after spotting a tree turning color and the desire to find it. Gorgeous views of the Mississippi River and even a pair of binoculars for your use. Wonderful sentiments expressed on several stones and even a stone bench.

A little difficult to navigate to but the views are totally worth it. Park includes surprisingly clean and functional bathrooms, a large picnic area and a wide area to overlook the Mississippi RIver

The park is taken care of so well! And the view of the Mississippi River is simply stunning!

Just look at the scenery and you'll be just as astonished as I was what a beautiful place if you haven't been there yet I'd definitely check try to check this one off on your list of places to go
