Horsebarn Hill

Horsebarn Hill is an incredibly beautiful piece of land, and it is one of the things that makes UConn special. If you’re ever feeling overwhelmed by your studies, personal life, or whatever, put your things away and go out for a walk here. Your time will not be wasted.

I have gone on many walks here, in every season, and each time I do so I am reminded that living in Connecticut isn’t all that bad. While much of our state’s industry and farming traditions have left, it’s good to see our state’s premier public institution keeping the agricultural tradition alive through the agricultural school and the maintenance of beautiful properties such as this.

Fabulous scenic views of open space, farmland, fenced pastures, horses, cows and the UConn campus. Park in the visitors area off Horse barn Hill Rd and take a short hike up the hill, you can't miss it!

Seeing the sunrise with vibes at the winter was a struggle, but worthy. We saw some people slept over the hill and turned on the music vibes. It is also near from Uconn Dairy Bar, also a great place to see the moonat night!

Super nice hill!!! Really nice views of the woods of Connecticut and Storrs. It’s also great that it’s next to the UCONN dairy barn that way you can get some ice cream and eat it while you take a nice stroll up the hill. The hill is super wide open and it would definitely be a nice place for a picnic!

Great place to walk around. Front side of hill is super pretty but if you go around to the back you can also see more barns with more animals. You can walk dogs here

A little climb but what a nice view. The fall foliage was at almost peak.

Beauutiful place to be out in the open, picnic, take a walk, fly a kite...sweeping vistas and beautiful sunsets!

Horsebarn Hill at the University of Connecticut is a lovely hill to watch the sunrise and sunset. It is also a good place for jogging and walking your dog. There is a all-time favourite ice cream shop nearby called UConn Diary Bar.

Awesome place to spend an afternoon walking and seeing farm animals. Horses, sheep, and dairy cows. Finish the afternoon with ice cream at the UConn dairy bar!

Always love taking walks over here. The views never fail to amaze me.

Very nice star view and general view of campus. I've had a lot of rlly special experiences here. It's possible that I'm currently drunk and just left this park after straight vibing for 2 hours. Who knows

Great rural area to walk on the trails and see the country scenery and smell the clean air.

Great place for a quiet walk in the open countryside, fantastic views of the area from the top of the hill. Can also visit the farming facilities of UConn to see the cows, sheep, horses, etc.

To be honest, it's a great place to hang out with friends or family or even walk your dog

The barns are fun for kids -- horses, cows and sheep providing sights and smells. Lots of both.

Beautiful and idyllic, this is one of the nicest parts of campus, and a fantastic place to take photos!

Is an awesome place to take in the UConn scenery while also viewing an amazing amount of animals that are grazing naturally such a great place to take photos as a backdrop and also as just a general area to go and enjoy nature highly recommend this place for photographers who want to stretch their legs both creatively and literally by enjoying animals and amazing sunsets and sunrises, definitely a worthwhile visit if you visit UConn or if you live at UConn a great place to run and jog to get some exercise.
