What a beautiful place! The owner was welcoming and professional, and she took the time to help me with a design dilemma. Pricing is reasonable and her inventory is unique and of quality. Home Goods used to be my “go-to” happy place…. Gillette just took first place!

This is a nice high end consignment shop. The workers are always friendly and helpful. The selection changes all the time. Great furniture, and accent peices. You won't feel rushed or pressured. If you're on Facebook you can see what is available before it hits the show room. Definitely will keep going back.

Have a great selection of pieces. We were on the market for a couch and found there perfect one here! Unfortunately it sold before we could purchase but the owner Sherri was fantastic letting us know another was in stock. Delivery was quick and easy. Would definitely shop here again.

I love this store!!! I've bought several great quality pieces at affordable prices, and my recent purchase was from her new line of new custom sofas! Sheri helped me pick the perfect fabric, which I can clean with water and bleach (as a mom I couldn't ask for anything better)! It is comfortable, looks amazing, will last, and is made in America! Best furniture consignment store in CT! The owner and staff are helpful and friendly. The selection is a great mix and excellent quality. I have bought my beautiful dining room set, antique vanity table and chair, leather couch set, and Tiffany style lamps from this store. I have also sold pieces there. Sheri is very selective and chooses only the best pieces to sell. The prices are very reasonable. I stop in there at least once a week and there are new pieces every time. If you see it and like it, you need to buy it. It may not be there when you return. If you have never been there, give it a try. I have always left satisfied!

My husband and I visited Gillette Furniture Consignment for the first time yesterday. When we approached the entrance, we said, "This is going to be expensive but let's look." The quality of the furniture and the design display all spoke of high-end (i.e. high price). As we examined the pieces and saw the prices, we confirmed the high quality but were delighted at how well-priced most pieces were offered for sale. As other reviews stated, there seems to be something for every taste and style. One of the things that made the visit different from other stores was the owner, Sheri. She is professional and knowledgeable about the pieces in her collection, which in itself is terrific. Add to that Sheri's warm, transparent way of talking with with us. We felt like we found an ally in our search for treasures for our home - not someone who was after the sale. The other great thing about this store is the way items are grouped and displayed - not a thrift store piled atmosphere (We do shop those places, too.) - giving the impression of a fine furniture store. We left with a beautifully framed piece of art and a small wall decor item, but plan to be frequent visitors to find larger pieces adding personality and charm to our home. Nicely done, Sheri! I've been shopping here for almost two years for the following reasons:

1. The employees are helpful.
You don't have to hunt them down for assistance and they're knowledgeable.
2. Their prices are very reasonable.
The owner is intelligent and knows the difference between value and price. If you are a buyer, you won't get ripped off. If you are a seller (consignee), you'll get a good value for your product and it won't sit in the store for months... as I've seen happen in West Hartford stores.
3. They have variety.
If not found in your first stop, be patient and you'll eventually find what you need. This store is constantly moving furniture in and out. They have antiques sitting next to nearly new furniture. That is why you need to stop by at least once a week.
And don't go home to think about buying something you saw earlier in the day. I did that once or twice and returned to see a "Hold" or "Sold" tag on the item.
4. Delivery is quick, easy to set up, and the delivery people are clean.

Gillette Furniture Consignment in Wethersfield differs from all of the other consignment shops around in so many ways. The atmosphere is very welcoming of all people. It is bright and open. The showroom is huge and offers a variety of furniture options for all kinds of styles. Whether you are looking for vintage, shabby chic, traditional, modern, or country, they have it! The store offers many options as to what any customer may be looking for. They have sofas, loveseats, kitchen/dining room tables, hutches, coffee tables, end tables, console tables, servers, lamps, headboards, foot boards, dressers, chest of drawers, pie tables, office furniture and so much more! This store also has home decor! Inside it is not cramped or over packed and is extremely clean! I would recommend this place to anyone. Not to mention, the staff is very polite!

I continue to return to this consignment store week after week. I have gotten furniture for almost every room in my house here. There is an ever changing selection and a wide variety of styles to choose from. Best of all, the value is great. I have shopped at all of the high end consignment stores west of the river (and some on the east) and you get the most for your money here at Gillette.

If you are scouting for furniture rugs or items for your decor check this place. I have bought some fabulous things including lamps and rugs. To get things they work with a local mover. For a reasonable price your purchases will be brought to your home.

Sheri was so helpful and kind, got me exactly what I needed at a reasonable price. Such a good example of why it's awesome to shop local. There's a huge selection and still friendly personable service. Will recommend this place all day.
