Leonida Family Practice

I was looking for a new doctor and I am so pleased with this office. Extremely professional and kind from the initial call for an appointment to the caring knowledgeable interview with Dr. Leonida. It is refreshing to still see genuine and sincere medical professionals in this rushed society. I highly recommend this office.

I first met Dr. Leonida when my father moved to the area and needed to find a new doctor. Since then my whole family has started seeing the doctor and this practice. They are wonderful ❤

Dr. called me a liar because UPMC for you DOES provide medical rides. I've called UPMC for you 3 times and was told they DO NOT provide rides. I was yelled at and screamed at and this man has no decent bedside manner. Switching doctors because I'm not 3. Keeping me on a medication I'm allergic to. This doctor doesn't know what he's doing.

I wish I would have seen the last couple of reviews for this doctors office before my boyfriend went here and had a horrific experience ( mount pleasant location! )
These people should be ashamed of themselves and should not be allowed calling themselves professionals because they lack any type of human decency. My boyfriend was seeing a doctor for almost a year following a treatment plan + taking medication. When his doctor left the practice my boyfriend lapsed in his treatment. He’s struggled with symptoms for months. He finally gave in and made an appointment with this office. His insurance appointed this doctor his PCP. Before the appointment was scheduled my boyfriend clearly told this office what he was scheduling an appointment for, he needed a doctor to resume his treatment + medication and he could bring in whatever documentation they needed him to. He was told that was something this office could do and he could come in that day! I took him to the pharmacy to have his medication history printed out and he got the rest of his information off of his patient portal so he could go to the appointment prepared.
THESE AWEFUL, AWEFUL people not only belittled my boyfriend for almost an hour but also the medical advice they spewed was far from true! They THREATENED my boyfriend telling him “it’s illegal to bring factious documentation to a doctors appointment.” They refused to even call the Rite Aid that he had his medication history printed from(less than 5 minutes away from their office) or the previous doctor that he had contact information for. They told him his diagnosis is something “an adult can’t have”. They also told him “telehealth doctors aren’t real doctors.”( because my boyfriend’s previous doctor did telehealth visits).
This office WITHOUT A DOUBT JUDGED my boyfriend and didn’t see him as if he was a human. A human suffering, at that! I’m sure his insurance will still be billed for this pointless and humiliating appointment though!!!

My Husband was seen last week and had to be tested for Covid even though we new he didn’t have Covid. His ears were hurting and he had a headache and cold symptoms. He was given the Covid test and then a steroid and told if the Covid test was negative the doctor would call in an antibiotic. The Covid test was negative. No antibiotic was called in. Now my husband went to the ER last night and has pneumonia. If the doctor would have listened to his symptoms and not been so worried about Covid my husband would not be sick with pneumonia. I’m am tired of doctors not listening to their patients and just focusing on Covid. This doctor must be for the money and NOT for the patient. I’m absolutely disgusted we will be finding a new doctor.

Would NOT recommend this place for an elderly parent. My father scheduled an appt. as a potential new patient after receiving a flier from them in the mail. When he arrived, he was a little confused about his insurance and how it would be taken at this doc. The person who came out to speak with him (possibly the office manager?? not sure) was very unhelpful. Actually said along the lines... "so do you think you can actually come in here and check us out and then decide if you want to come here?" Wow. I thought that was EXACTLY how it was supposed to work. Not impressed with how they dealt wth an elderly parent who was seeking care. Did not explain the insurance situation. Rude & unprofessional, in my opinion.

Scheduled an appointment two weeks ago only to find out they didn't put me in the system resulting in me not being able to see the Dr. Would not recommend going here. They also still enforce masks.
