This place was wonderful! Super charming chalets peppered throughout the woods, a wonderful restaurant, and a great pool/hot tub/sauna area. We brought our skates for the ice rink, but just ran out of time, so looking forward to that next time! The staff was wonderful and the location so close to Mount Sutton can’t be beat!

We have stayed in the chalets 4 times now (annual trip) and have had an excellent experience each time. Great value, lovely cozy chalets. A perfect, relaxing getaway, with easy access to Mount Sutton via the Sutton shuttle bus or car.

We didn't stay at the hotel, we ate at the Bistro. We wanted a lighter dinner after a weekend of rich food. The Bistro delivered. The flavor was excellent. Clara, our server was friendly and attentive, even as the restaurant filled up. We plan to come back this summer.

Our stay at Huttopia/Hotel Horizon was idyllic!

The staff are outstanding! Clara & the team at the bistro went above and beyond!

The location is perfect for skiing, especially if you want to try multiple hills! It was the perfect location for exploring Sutton, Bromont, Owl's Head, Mont Orford & Jay Peak! And the sauna, and hot tub were a lovely treat at the end of a long day of skiing!

Will definitely stay here again!

Wooden Chalets are awesome - great location in the middle of the woods to cozy up with a fireplace and a sauna while going skiing. Make sure you have good tires, otherwise you have to walk up the hill to your chalet.

Perfect for a weekend getaway, staff (all french from france) are very nice! 2 minutes away from mount Sutton and 3 minutes away from the village, there is a bar, lounge and dining area in the lobby which is cool as it feels a bit like an all inclusive resort. Will definitely go back.

We stayed in a heated Chalet (part of the Huttopia campground complex) that is run by Hotel Horizon in the winter. The mid-January temps were cold but the Chalet was comfortably warm, even when there wasn’t a fire in the woodstove (wood for the stove needs to be purchased). The small but cozy, rustic hut was well-designed for two couples and a dog. A sled was provided for transporting our baggage from the parking area. (Note that at busy times, parking for a second car requires an extra fee.)

We arrived on a Wednesday when the Hotel Bistro was closed and we found that many businesses in the Sutton area are only open on weekends - but had no trouble finding good food. Midweek was very quiet at the ski area too. It’s an easy walk to the Hotel from the Chalets, but there didn’t seem to be a direct path to get to the front door so it might be easier for many to drive. Our second night, we enjoyed the pool, hot tub and sauna at the Hotel before a lovely dinner at the Bistro where we were the only customers. There are trails for hiking and x-country skiiing on the property that connect up with many more trails off site, so there’s lots to explore. Overall we had an enjoyable stay and hope to return again.

Wonderful room, fabulous dinner. I stayed in a king room with bathtub. After a long hike I was happy to have a large tub to soak in. I chose the hotel because it is 5 minutes down the street from a significant hiking area with dozens of trails. Will come back for snowshoeing in the winter. Dinner at the restaurant could not have been better. It included a noteworthy Caesar salad with 4-5 whole slices of freshly cooked bacon (still warm), and fresh melt-in-your-mouth heirloom tomatoes. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Very quiet room. Keurig in room including decaf coffee and hot chocolate pods. I was in heaven.

We are in the middle of our stay and so far everything is great. Sutton is a very cute town and the hotel horizon is a short 2-3 min drive toward the ski hill.

Staff is incredibly friendly, and the rooms are quite nice, especially with the extra bunk room for the kids.

Pool has a deep end!! 8’! This is awesome and not something I have seen in a hotel pool before.

Also the water pressure in the shower is very strong, also rare in a hotel these days!

Rooms have huge windows also which is fantastic.

The free breakfast is about what you’d expect. Bagels, croissants and some misc fruit, yogurt, etc. but good enough to keep us happy.

Also worth noting that there is no fridge in the room. Might be an important factor for some.

In addition we have one very small garbage can that was not emptied.

Our family stayed in a cabin next to friends of ours. We love that we were able to bring our dog and enjoy the beautiful trails and nature on site. The kids had fun sledding and we all enjoyed the skating rink and snowshoeing trails, and the proximity to Mont Sutton for downhill skiing. It's an incredibly beautiful spot and the cabins are great.

We had the best sleeps before and after our 4 day gravel bike trip. Was nice thermal experience here on the last day. Great walking paths 5 min away. Wish the breakfast was more than bagels and yogurt.

We were very pleasantly surprised with this hotel!!! We usually opt for large chain hotels whenever we travel because we have a good idea of what we’re getting. We need to rethink that approach, however, after staying here. The rooms, restaurant and common areas were all nicely updated. The entire place was very clean and cozy! The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The cuisine at the restaurant was top notch… and you cannot beat the location… equidistant from quaint downtown Sutton and Sutton ski resort… In short… it’s a hidden gem! We’ll most certainly be back !

Very clean hotel rooms with great views.
Especially recommend trying the French restaurant (open only in the evening time, for gourmet lovers). The best hamburger and the snack entries.

My wife and I had a fabulous stay in one of their chalets. Beautiful location and so close to the ski hill. The hot tub and sauna were a fantastic treat and the staff were lovely. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Sutton.

A beautiful and quiet hotel about 3 minutes drive away from the ski hill. The staff are very lovely and always very helpful and available.

The rooms were very nice with about everything made of wood and had a very cozy feeling. The rooms we were in had a room with a bunk bed and a queen bed with a nice sized bathroom.

The breakfast is included and it was delicious. Fresh baked pastries and Montreal style bagels - what more could you want??

The pool is nice and there looked to be a great outdoor area which would be lovely in the summer. I think there were tennis courts and some hiking trails nearby as well. There’s also a little town about a 5 minute drive away from the ski hill with a few pretty great restaurants.

We loved our stay here and would certainly recommend it to anyone!

Cottages had everything you need for a lovely winter stay. Trails are a plenty and just lovely. We will spend more time during our next visit to enjoy the pool and main hotel facilities. Great proximity to Round Top and ski hill as well as Sutton Village. X

A 5 night stay was perfect for me and my son, we skied all day and relaxed in the comfortable Hotel lounge and bistro. The shuttle bus to the hill stops right out front making it easy to avoid the busy parking lot on weekends. Room was spotless, and large enough that we could relax, do some stretching and enjoy our evening.

The Cabin was gorgeous.
The Woodstock heat was a nice rustic touch. Thank you for 'the sled' to get luggage and food to & from the cabin.
Rates were great. BBQ was a nice touch.
Thank you. See ya next year.
