I went on a Friday and it was solo time. I was sharing the space with 10 people. So nice. $28 day pass is worth the money. I will return when I'm in the area.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Avila hot springs and spa. I started off by going to the changing room and getting in my bathing suit then taking a shower . Then going in the hot tub for awhile then the huge cold pool that's just normal pool temperature. There was not very many people in it . Then back to the hot tub. Then I received a massage from Nina. It was such a relaxing massage. The pools are included all day if you get a massage so I went back to the hot springs to relax some more. I would definitely recommend being water and snacks because there is only a vending machine for food options. But it was an incredible way to spend the day! . So relaxing

We are so lucky to have a place like this! This is a real sulphur hot spring located right next to the beach. I appreciate that the owner makes sure that things stay working well and clean without making huge updates that would end up driving up the costs prohibitively for most people. I love that I meet people from many different cultures and communities, and enjoy the conversations that develop. The complaints that I’ve seen listed are by people who would complain about anything I think. This place is a gem and deserves our patronage so that we don’t lose it. It’s incredible that it hasn’t been developed beyond what it is now.

Wonderful hot springs, clean dressing room, lifeguard on duty, inexpensive, free water on site to drink - reminders by staff to drink. Lovely pool! I wish the hot pool was a lil deeper than 1.5 feet.

The shower room is outside. This is the women's restroom and dress changing room. Soaking water is a real hot spring (smells real sulfur). The swimming pool is very big and clean. kids under 8 are not allowed to soak in the socking pool.
Good to bring flip-flop, gown, water bottle.
(There is no shampoo and soap)

Went here on a Sunday night for a friends birthday. The waterfall pool was incredible. Lots of fun, very clean place. Todd at the front desk was amazing!

There is one hot spring pool about 1.5 feet deep, and one big swimming pool from about 3 feet to 8 feet deep. There is a lifeguard on duty. At around 3pm they do a "pool break" so that everyone gets out of the pool and the lifeguards clean up the big swimming pool from debris. The front desk employee was kind and helpful.

First time here. The place was very clean, staff were nice. The pool and Sulfur Hot Spring Hot Tub were nice and relaxing. We went on a Tuesday so not crowded at all. The Hot Springs Hot Tub was relaxing and made my skin baby soft afterwards. A lot of good health benefits from the Sulfur Hot Springs. Will go again.

staff is so pleasant and friendly, and the experience was overall amazing. i do recommend either eating before or packing food, though, because an hour in we were starving. the pool is pretty big and there is plenty of space to swim but the hot spring gets crowded early in the morning. by noon it should be a bit more accessible.

We look for a place like this for many years. This month our search came to an end. If you want a place to relax this is the place. It is relaxing and both the pool and the spa feel great!

Had not been there for about 10 years since I retired. But remembered well the Healing Powers of that Hot Springs! Took my grandson and his two buddys. 3 nine year olds that were full of energy at high octane. They took to the heated pool and proceeded to have a blast and they met friends! I was in the mineral pool just reaquainting myself with Nature. The boys came over and respectfully sat and enjoyed warm soothing waters along with grandpa. They Loved it! We stayed till they closed at 10pm. My knees and my body feel totally rejuvenated! What a great day a time! Not bad for 3 9yr olds and a Grandpa.

I love Avila Hot Springs I’ve been going out there since 2013 my 33rd birthday. My parents brought me there and got me a 16 minute massage by the very professional masseuse, massaging! Very relaxing & tranquil

The staff is amazing I love the atmosphere the quietness, I like being able to share the area with other locals talk communicate or be quiet and just enjoy the comfort of the warm water and soothing sensation over your body.

If you get too hot, you can dip yourself into the mineral water/chlorine pool which is very relaxing and refreshing. They also have a place for the kids. It’s not super big but there’s a slide and an area for the kids to play.

They have made some really great upgrades fixing the tile in the mineral Hot Springs, which is amazing!! They’re still making progress much needed upgrades that will prolong the quality for future guests to come!!

I have not stayed in any of the cabins so I do not know about that but, it’s not as bad as people may think if you’re able to go to the surrounding cities next to Avila Hot Springs, it’s very beneficial hotels in San Luis Obispo are very pricey & staying near the beach.

Very pricey, if you’re looking for a great weekend minus some of the perks of being in a hotel an enjoying the community & the landscapes & stores & the people you leave feeling like you had a great experience!!

Versus staying in a expensive hotel, paying an arm & a leg and you might not have that great of an experience! Think of all the money you can save, and all of the places you will see and experience!

Check this place out see for yourself it might not be your cup of tea that’s OK to each their own but I definitely recommend checking it out. Don’t judge until you try. You never know.!

The few negatives that they have are not having a area that serves food at the facility they have vending machines they do allow you to bring food into the area but you have to make sure you clean it up and take it out when you leave and some people leave the facility and come back sadly, there is no delivery out to that area so you have to prepare and make a plan about your food options!

Wear water shoes. The gravel in the parking lot is not fun to walk on and please before you get into either the hot mineral Springs or the pool mineral springs rinse yourself off before getting into the water. It helps keep bacteria and other things out of the pool and hot mineral Springs.

Spent an enjoyable afternoon here on a recent trip to the central coast. This destination is moderately priced. The facilities are clean and nostalgic. The mineral water pool is small and has.limited capacity but it sure was relaxing to soak and chat the afternoon away. There is a much larger swimming pool where you can cool down, swim laps or just take a dip. This seems to be a local destination and we met some very friendly people who live in the are.a Got a great referral for dinner (that will be for a different review)! Definitely will be back our next trip to the Calofornia Central Coast.

We just found this place and even though we didnt actually stay here yet, we were soooo happy with this find. From.the looks of it they have both cabins and a tent area for camping. Theres a pool, slide, and hot springs. We are so excited to officially try this place out.

All the pics I got were from the outside because we didnt officially stay.

It's almost really easy to pass. We almost didnt see it. I had to go back to make sure what I saw was correct the first time.

Friendly staff nice experience. The swimming pool is awesome. The spa is somewhat uncomfortable because you sit on the floor, difficult for this handicapped 61 year old. I was also disappointed at the water level, it was far too low to soak the neck. The tub itself was immaculately clean and a decent temperature. It was a bit pricey for my likes but still a good investment for relaxing pleasure. We will be back most likely

Very nice place to relax in the mountains...even at night. This particular night they were showing a movie in the natural hot spring. It was cheap to get in...only $8.00. There is also a regular pool for swimming with a slide.
