Spyglass Inn

Gorgeous view. Comfortable bed. Hubby loves the shower. Because it is an older hotel, the floors above are noisy when folks walk around as our upstairs neighbor was walking around alot. Also the water pipes are very loud when someone flushes or showers. We would have to turn the TV up when that happens. But, the ocean view and fireplace makes it so worth it.

Fantastic view. Very clean room. High thread count sheets. Comfortable bed. Loved the fire pits outside each night. We've stayed here before and will stay here again!

We had a beautiful ocean view. The room had a very comfortable king bed and a gas fireplace. The Inn is clean and quiet with an out door patio and just steps from a beautifully landscaped walk along the ocean

It was very nice, yhe beds were comfortable and they showed great customers service. An early check in, an upgrade for another room. And they actually have Starbucks coffee in the room.A nice strong cup .perfect size

Loved this hotel. Our room was huge and clean, the pool & hot tub were great, the fire pit was great. We really enjoyed our night here. The carpet in the room could do with a deep clean/replacement though, and air conditioning in the rooms would be a bonus.

Very comfortable stay! A more affordable option in that area but the rooms are nice and neat.
The Spyglass inn restaurant is apparently separated from the hotel and their food quality is fine, nothing special.

I loved the room my man and I stayed at. We were on the top floor and could see the ocean and pool. It had a nice balcony with 2 chairs and a table to put food or drinks on. I loved the restaurant there. They had good food and the view was romantic of the ocean and you could watch the sunset. I went there for my 1 year wedding anniversary. They have a firepit that you can sit around and they sell a s’more kit that you can buy and make at the firepit. Their is a walk way to get to the beach below the cliff but it’s alittle treacherous of your not careful and I would say you need to be in shape. The stairs are big but steep and it’s alittle slippery when wet and sandy but I loved it there and the beds are so nice that I slept very soundly. I think their temperpedic. The people that work their are very helpful and nice and they have waffle texture Robes that say spyglass so I bought one and I’ve kept it. They don’t have free breakfast so you would have to eat at the restaurant on-site. Their is a shell gas station next door that is very convenient and a shopping center across the street. It’s not a big shopping area but it has souvenirs and a deli and food. It just depends on your taste what you like. I haven’t been there since the Covid pandemic but I want to go back again some day. I went in 2020. They do have a pool and a hot tub outside surrounded partly by glass walls. We went in the hot tub more then the pool. Kids would like the pool.

EXCELLENT!! We will definitely be back!!! The setting was amazing and beautiful, and staff very friendly. It was so nice to hear those waves in the middle of the night in our room....so beautiful and also very clean.

This spot hit ALL the boxes for location, ambiance, comfort, and Oceanview WOW. We ate at the hotel restaurant twice, yummy. LOVE LOVE LOVE the firepits outside our patio was absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed visiting the restaurants' close driving distance and, of course, the Pismo Beach pier, overall a WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY.

Great hotel, clean, comfortable, with sea side views. Lots of attention to small details, ie an indoor fan for air circulation and sleeping. Especially love the outdoor cliffside seating area with firepit. Made for gorgeous and relaxing oceanside sunsets while mingling with other guests. I would recommend to a friend. Happiness 😊

We love staying at Spyglass Inn, especally the ocean view rooms with balcony so we can enjoy the sunsets. The grounds are lovely with lots of walking paths and beautifuly gardens. The restaurant offers great meals.

Very nice place to stay right on the ocean bluff. Has fire pits in front allowing you to view the ocean and sit in front of a warm fire. Has a decent pool. To get to the beach is quite a walk or drive from the hotel. Several nice restaurants within walking distance. Staff was very helpful.

Great small hotel over looking the bluffs. They have 3 fire pits that were lovely to sit by after the pool and star gaze. Staff was very friendly and quick at checking in. Great place I'd stay again!

Always the BEST experience!!! Our favorite place to stay in Pismo. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. You will be happy with your decision to make this your home for a few days or longer. We also really like that there is a restaurant on the property. The food is delicious. They make a great clam chowder! The view is stunning, of course!

Great location. It would be even better if if we were able to have gotten a room with the ocean view, but a'las we reserved too late in the game. Beds are very comfortable and wonderful little seating areas. We enjoyed the space out back to go sit by a fire but instead went for a walk on the path.

We had a fabulous stay at Spyglass. Traveling solo with 3 kids under 9 was a little daunting but this hotel was perfect- easy parking, clean and spacious rooms, and an excellent staff who gave great tips and always had cold water, coffee and tea ready in the lobby. We didn’t use the pool because we spent most of our days on the beach but we did take advantage of the on-site restaurant which had great kids meals along with apps and drinks for mom. We also loved the fire pits and s’more kits. Can’t wait to come back again!

My husband and I stayed here for a few days and it was very enjoyable. Clean rooms and beautiful view. They also had several community fire pits that created a nice relaxing evening. Great location and yummy restaurants and deli close by. We will definitely stay here again

It looks to be a little older hotel but it is beautiful. View was absolutely gorgeous. The restaurant on site was an added bonus. The sunsets were beautiful! Will stay again

This was my first stay at this hotel gem and had a wonderful experience! The room was extremely clean, there were extra blankets, robes, and the bed was cozy! All the staff was welcoming and nice! The fire pits and view on the bluff was exactly what I expected! Very close to beach access, and nice places to walk or jog in the morning! Places to surf and super clear sky’s.
