I cannot describe the beautiful smell of this wonderful store as you walk in the door. Watching them make chocolate so beautifully is amazing. Everything was so yummy!

Stopped here with my brother–in-law and sister-in-law We greeted by one of the ladies behind the counter and given a free sample. We ordered toffee, mint bark and chocolate honeycombs. The se vice was excellent, the candy even a bit better!

This cute little hole in the wall of market street makes from scratch some of the tastiest candies you can imagine. Try the English toffee for a tasty crumbly nutty and soul soothing experience you won't soon forget. If they put as much love into their other candies as they do that and the peanut butter fudge you would be hard pressed to find a decent competition. Littlejohn's Candies is a confectioner based in Los Angeles. I wanted to get something to present to a client during my business trip in San Francisco, but didn't have time to go to the LA flagship. Luckily, I found out about this San Francisco branch of Littlejohn's.

The quality of the English Toffee is just as good as what's sold in Los Angeles. The toffee itself has the right balance of butter and sugar and is coated in chocolate and chopped roasted almonds to make for a delicious enrobed toffee candy. I bought a pound of English Toffees and had it custom wrapped in a gift box free of charge. My client was definitely happy with this gift.

In the past, I never cared for English toffee and similar candies like almond roca, etc., but Littlejohn's exceptional version changed my mind.

I'm still going back after eight years.

Rather than just gush about how much I like it, perhaps some points will be more useful:

First: this place is chocolate and caramel focused, rather than general candy. If you want gummy worms or an esoteric type of swedish salted licorices, they might not have it. They do have a small assortment of those.

Second: if you get analysis paralysis, it might help to come in with a very specific set of criteria and quantity in advance. The people working will help you when they can and will let you sample to your heart's content, but for your own sake have it in your head that you want something like "a chocolate with pistachio for two people".

Third: you can use their website to order and ship for people. Be wary that in the summer stuff can melt, and they will tell you as much. They might recommend a different shipper or be more meticulous about the timing. This isn't an upsell; they just don't want your recipient getting an amorphous blob of calories.

Finally: their toffee is the best. Really, the best I've had.

Spending the day in Mount Aukum with family is always special. Grabbed lunch at Creekside and headed out looking for some dessert... the search ended at Little John's Candies. Come on.... that place is amazing! The look-n-feel of the store and glass viewing area of the candy making factory is awesome. The fudge was a silky smooth masterpiece. The english toffee was perfection. The other treats were equally amazing. If you're heading out to the wine trail, this place is a 'MUST STOP'.

I actually love this store I went by there was it Thursday I think it was Thursday and got a large box of candy shipped to my nieces and Virginia and yeah it's a great store and the candy's great and the staff is wonderful too I can't forget them they're very very nice and helpful oh one more thing they're not judgmental when you go in there either

Love love love their customer service and their cute candy store. I try to go every week. Follow their IG and you get the latest news! This week is their chocolate sauce, salted caramel sauce and bacon caramels!!!

I have just discovered the place but I will be coming back for sure!
The girl that attended me was incredibly nice. She took time to introduce me most of the chocolates/sweets they had, she let me try a couple of them and was really attentive.

About the sweets.... I tried the praline with pistachio, the ginger with chocolate and some of the caramel pecans. Everything was delicious! And you could feel that was good quality and homemade.

And the price... I didn't find it expensive at all. When I first saw the place I thought it was going to be really expensive. but I bought 7-8 chocolates and I paid 8 dollars. Its not super cheap but definitely cheaper than would I have expected for a place like this.

I will be coming back for sure although I live far away.

No one seems to know about this place, but they have incredible, high quality chocolates and sweets. Their homemade marshmallows are wonderful, and they even made chocolate bunnies with masks for Easter. This is my favorite truly local SF place.

The best divinity anywhere around! Even on rainy days like today it is fabulous. (Never make divinity on rainy days, because during the cooling process moisture is reabsorbed from the atmosphere, for those of you wondering, "why?") A little pricey, but what you get is delicious, top quality, freshly made, and did I mention delicious (and, worth mentioning again!), better than it has to be candy! Staff is super courteous and friendly. Always glad I stopped by...

OMG! The toffee is amazing! SO awesome! So fresh. They recently had a sale and i bought 5 lbs of toffee. YOu can tell that this toffee is fresh, and recently made. Working hard not to finish the entire order in one sitting.

The store is immaculate. There is not a speck of dust in sight. The chocolate is great. Support this local business.

It's the most unique and wonderful place. It kind of makes me think of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. Little John's is excellent. I love it very much

Walked in and the heavenly scent of fresh toffee almost made my knees buckle.. what an amazing candy shop. If you're going to indulge, or treat someone, this is where you wanna come. Oh and they ship as well!

Little John's is one of SF premier chocolatier that doesn't do heavy advertisement. The reason is simple. When you're​ that good your product has demonstrate quality and value wise. Samples of their milk chocolate toffee brittle are given without asking. House made ice cream is also a treat itself, but not a variety of flavors. Equipments/supplies are clean store away or covered​ when not in use. Friendly workers are trained to get your order safely home or shipped out.

If you grew up on See's, take the time to visit Luttlejohn's and taste what how chocolate is truly meant to be. One bite of the English toffee and you'll convert to Littlejohn's for life.
