Morro Bay Sandpiper Inn

Staff I encountered was very friendly. Fast check in process and very reasonable rates for the area. My room was clean, bright and cheery with newer accent pieces. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. I felt the room is bigger than a lot that I’ve stayed at in Morro Bay. Overall great experience. I appreciate the easy walk to coffee shops, restaurants and the waterfront.

We love staying here when we are in Morro Bay. It is a 60's style Motel but verywell kept. It is quaint and my wife and I always get room 22. It's "our place" in Morro. The manager is always polite and welcoming.

Great location! Very short walk to the shops.
There's a great pizza place called pizza Port a block away that's really good too.

Cute little Motel for a night over stay. Spacious & close to the water. In the middle of local shops and restaurants that you can walk to.

The place is great! Great location walking distance to all the shops and restaurants and it’s very affordable. The place is super clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. It also felt safe, tons of families etc didn’t see any sketchy people. Keep in mind it’s a 2 star motel so don’t compare it to the Hilton (older furniture, small scrapes on paint etc) but for the location and price it’s an amazing deal. Water was hot in the pm and am and clean towels. All around a good experience!

The owner gave us a very warm welcome. The room was very clean and in a good condition. The shower and toilet were very clean as well.
We felt safe and could enjoy lovely Morro Bay.
The vending machine only takes 1-dollar-notes.
Next time in Morro Bay, we will definitely come back.

Quaint and nice motel, love the beach themed rooms and bright colors. Location is excellent only 2 blocks from the Embarcadero. Good restaurants within walking distance. Pet friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Cute motel. The check in process was easy and the guy up front was nice. I’m pretty sure they allow pets at this place. (I didn’t actually ask because I don’t have one, but something to consider if you have allergies or a pet.) The room was clean and had everything we needed. The walls were a little thin, but not really a problem for us.

Room lovely and clean; only negative for us was room was too light at night which did affect our sleep but bed and pillows good and it is within walking distance to the waterfront where there were lots of shops and eating places. Highlight for us was watching the sea otters swimming/playing and not to mention the noisy seals.

We found this inn at the last minute for an overnight stay. Perfect 1970-1980 era style. Clean and well maintained. Great location in the harbor area. A short walk to both harbor side shops and main street activity. Very friendly staff.

Extremely clean. Took us in late at night when we left abruptly from the Seaside Inn Morro Bay after discovering they had bedbugs. Owner is very nice and the housekeeping does an amazing job. Pet friendly and they have hard wood floors downstairs (pets allowed) and carpet upstairs (no pets allowed).

Great spot!! VERY clean room. It was a great walk down to the restaurants and shops. Plenty of parking every night. Comfy bed. Room #22 was perfect, upstairs with a great view of the water and rock, plus it's an end room. We would definitely stay here again!

Given the affordable price our stay was great. The room was clean, the staff was very nice, location was pefect, but most importantly the beds were super comfy! We will definitely be staying here in the future

We always enjoy our stay here! The rooms are so clean and plenty of towels n shampoo n conditioner. We love how we can hear the ocean from our room.

This hotel was not fancy but it was everything I needed. Everything in the room was clean, functional and in good condition; there are lots of surfaces to put your stuff on. It is within walking distance of the waterfront area with shops + restaurants and about a 20 minute drive to Montana de Oro state park. The area felt safe. The man at the desk was accommodating to my request to change to a second floor room. My only complaint was the water pressure is not all that and it took quite awhile to wash my hair. Booking.com is perhaps a bit generous in calling this a "view" but I ain't gonna cry about it.
