Third Base Market and Spirits

At first I thought Third Base might be a scam but the reviews overall looked pretty good. I have to say I'm very happy. My bottle of rare bourbon was packed and protected perfectly. Shipped all the way to the east coast without any issues. Great prices and fast order processing. I will definitely order from them again!

Ordered 3 bottles of hard to find champagne, over $700 worth. Priced well. Shipping fee acceptable. Arrived quickly and was well packaged. These bottles come in presentation boxes and each was bubble wrapped. Only one bottle slipped out of its internal "holder", but it arrived safely. Not really their issues since it was inside the presentation box. Only issue was they should include a layer of wrap at top and bottom of the box. I believe I opened the bottom side and there wasn't a layer of wrap to protect it. Otherwise flawless purchase. Would absolutely do again as I give these as gifts several times a year and I can't find them locally.

Like many, I was hesitant to order $500 of high end bourbon and have it shipped across the country. Especially from a gas station/liquor store. Ordered 3 bottels of Weller 12 and 3 buffalo trace. All arrived in less than a week, packed expertly and in perfect condition. Prices were excellent, shipping was $40. Don't be afraid, they are legitimate!

My boss and I are both bourbon lovers and he told me about a rye whiskey he had recently found that he loved. I couldn't find it in my area but found it online at Third Base for $40 less a bottle than he paid. I ordered a couple and got an email that the order was filled and set for shipping within two hours! That was only 4 days ago and I just got my bottles! Not only was that incredibly fast service coming from literally the opposite side of the country, but they came very well packaged. They could have airdropped these things onto my drive way and I think the bottles would have been fine. The shipping seemed a little pricey but considering the speed, the distance, how well they were packaged and the savings on the bottles, it was actually very reasonable. Just got my first order from Third Base Market and Spirits and I'm happy to give them a 5 star review. Of the retailers that will ship to my state, they have some of the best prices on Irish Whiskey and Scotch. They processed and shipped my order right away, the bottles were packed well and it arrived on time. I couldn't be happier and look forward to ordering from them again - 5 stars well earned Third Base! Also, they were quick to reply to my contact form when I had a question. I will absolutely buy from them again.

Ordered two .750L of Eagle Rare. It shipped the next day and made it all the way to the East Coast with no issue and no damage. What more could I ask for.

I have placed 3 orders with Thirdbase in the past 12 months. Each experience have been good. I would recommend you order several bottles at a time as opposed to one bottle since the shipping seems to be pretty much the same whether you order one or four.

The shipments are immaculately packed with bottle air sleeves and other material to withstand probably a drop from multi-story building. Also the price on most items are certainly better than most sellers both brick-mortar and online.

The only times the price is higher than MSRP is on bottles that are hard to find bottles such as EH Taylors, Blantons, Hakushu, etc. But you would be hardpressed to find those bottles at MSRP really anywhere unless you find them at Bevmo, Total Wine, or Vons where they must sell at MSRP. In my experience, finding those bottles at large retailer is almost impossible.

All in all, I find shopping at thirdbase very convenienct and feel that I am getting pretty good deals even with shipping factored in.

Update: on the third order, thirdbase seem to have forgotten to include the boxes for 2 of the 4 whiskys. I have planned to gift those bottles and I needed the boxes along with them. Other bottles in the past came with the boxes pictured on the site. I have emailed them about the missing boxes but I have not received a reply. If you are looking to get the boxes along with your bottles, be sure to clarify with them before purchasing.

Ordered bourbon from Third Base and my order came well packaged (very appreciative of the air cases used!), just as described and at a reasonable price. I will definitely be ordering from them again!
