Candy World

Excellent salt water taffy! The coconut flavor is my favorite. Picked up some treats for an open house and this taffy was a hit.

So many flavors to choose from-I think they have at least 20 different flavors. They also have caramel apples, fudge, and other assorted candies.

They are located on the Fisherman’s Wharf-the first store to the right.

I went in for a small amount and came out with a large bag of flavors that I've never tasted before. Chicken and Waffles taffy? Who knew it existed. The young woman in the store was very helpful and very friendly.

Had a great time today at the wharf got some salt water taffy and carmel chocolate turtles.

I freaking love this place. In a land of candy stores, this place has a stand out selection. (Including pickle-flavored salt water taffy, so now you know). Nice staff, too.

This young lady with curly hair was very nice to me .She was very helpful and very open to recommendations on what candy to get my son.I look forward to returning another Saturday just to get her help .I so very hope she gets recognized for her good costumer service!

It's a fun candy store what kid doesn't love a good candy store. I highly recommend the champagne truffles

Nearly every candy you can think of. You could spend allot of time just looking at all the different candy.

Kids had too much fun and enjoyed choosing all their favorites.

Right off the bat, it's a candy store. There isn't all that much that can go awry. They have a decent selection of candy. With a very good selection of taffy. Candy is sold by the pound with a quarter pound minimum. The price per pound was $17 in June 2023. I will point out that we stopped in quite a few candy shops this week and two or three before Candy World on the same day in Monterey. I'm only referring to candy shops that sold individual bulk taffy, and not just pre-boxed taffy. I will point out that Candy World on Old Fishermans Wharf was the most expensive per pound of the candy stores we visited in Monterey on the same day. The least expensive was on Cannery Row. The price difference between the high and the low three dollars per pound. ($14 vs. $17 per pound) Whether or not that matters to you is up to you.
We of course walked out with some more taffy to join the other taffy we purchased else where. Candy World seemed like a nice store if you are into candy. Types of candy do vary and stores tend to vary on what the may carry. So keep that in mind and I kind of focused just of stores with bulk individual taffy available. Hope this helps in some way.

An extensive selection of taffy here. We had a hard time choosing our favorites by the overload of flavors available. They sell it by the pound so you can get as much or as little as you want. While you wait in line, you pass barrels of old timey candies such as candies cigarettes! You can also get an icee here if the weather feels hot enough. They have ice cream as well if you want a scoop on a cone or cup. And there is plenty of fudge to feast your sweet tooth on. We opted only for taffy to tickle our fancy as we watched for otters.

Little expensive for candy but guess that that visitors don't mind paying to raise prices for the locals
